Kieron
Greetings! I recently bought a house built in 1908. When examining it, I received nothing but positive vibrations. However I am concerned about a possible secret/poison arrow in my bedroom. The room is square, with a window facing approx. south and another approx. west. On the SW corner, due to the shape/style of the roof, there is an indentation of the wall. The corner juts toward the bed, and the wall itself slants upward to meet the ceiling at this area. Unfortunately I cannot place the bed elsewhere as the room layout will not allow it. I'm unwilling to place the head of the bed underneath the slanting wall b/because I heard it would compress my chi. Am I to understand that the indentation part could cause problems? If so, what do I need to do?Thanks in advance.Kieron
Administrator
Dear KieonFirst, let me congratulate you on your new home:)From your description, a square room is considered an excellent layout. In Feng Shui, yes, it is unfavourable to have a slanted ceiling as you havementioned, this creates unfavourable qi in that area. There are few cures and only two are available:-1. A `poster' bed with four pillars and for the `roof' of the poster bed,one can place a cloth material. This will act as a false ceiling.2. False ceiling to level the roof.Frankly, the above are the two `best' cures for this situation. Other thanthe above, for the moment, I can't recall any other more effective `cures'.3. If there is a beam above the slanted ceiling (don't think so here), youcan purchase two bamboo flutes and hang them on the beam.Warmest Regards,Cecil-----Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'discussion-session' suppressed 'discussion-session' suppressed>Date: Monday, April 19, 1999 10:56 AMSubject: Old house, new owner Quote From: "Joe Sehl" This message is sent from "discussion-session" Mailing List.Greetings!
