Hi Cecil,
In determining the strenght of the DAY Pillar, do we need to consider the place where the person is borned? For Example, a person whose birthplace is in USA and born in September, this person would be considered *strong metal*. What if this person is borned in Singapore where there's no Autumn season, but only hot weather all year long, would this person be considered *weak* metal? thanks

For calculation portion charts, all information is based on your date of
birth. There are many relations which have to be deduced from the four
pillars and seasons before determining your chart. Your season is calculated
from the season in which you are born from the date of birth. That is how
the chart is supposed to be formulated.

However, in real life situation, there are many aspect which makes it hard
for us to incorporate into the calculation, such as like you mentioned the
place where you are born, the persons who delievered you. The building which
you were born in, your parent's element etc. There are a whole list of
situation which cannot be considered into the determination, as such
normally no one will do such inclusion into the calculation of the pillars.
It makes it too complex and there is no way for you to know many of those
details.
You see Pillars of Destiny is considered your heavenly luck interpretation.
This means that based on certain date of birth, it is possible to calculated
the type of life you are "given by the heaven". For the chinese especially
true for those in the past, often believe that you are born with a given
fate by the heaven. This was the intended purpose of this chart. And in the
past it was believed that it is impossible to change your luck or life.
However, now with technological advancement etc, it is possible to make
changes to your life. Also, if you apply I-Ching principles, which consitute
Heavenly and Earthly Luck, it is stated that it is possible to predict and
change influences but that is another whole different area.
So if you understand that, you can see why I personally think that adding
such additional factors is not necessary. Furthermore, how sure are you that
you can obtain the place, how do you know what kind of Flying Star Influence
of the place you are born, the elements of the people who delievered you?
and lots more.
So practically, it is not necessary. Anyway, the Pillars itself does not
require that.

3. 80-year luck period and maximising it.
80-year luck period tells you the ups and down which you will face along
your life. There is no one person that is perfect all the way. Even at best
he may live a blessed life for a continuous period of 60-years. Every year,
every month influence changes. Only when you know when is your best can you
make full use of it. Say for example, if you wanted to start a business, you
