Staff Robert Lee Posted July 27, 2001 Staff Share Posted July 27, 2001 Dear Users,As of today (28 July 2001) we have completed 90% of the upgrading works.- All website are now loaded from the new server (except for My FengShui section last to transfer)- All mails are also directed to the new mail server (there might be some disruption due to some errors in DNS settings when we were trying to switch it over, so if you tried to send mails on 26/27 July, if you hit some errors or did not get a reply from us, please e-mail again.)We will be transferring the My Online within these two days. The upgrading works is done slowly and carefully as the site setup is a complex one with a nearly overhaul of software upgrading which requires us to test to ensure everything is working well.Our main website http://www.geomancy.net is not hosted on the new server. We will be launching the new and improved website once the final My FengShui section is fully transferred.The new website is clean, simple, fast loading and most of all extremely easy to navigate as we have added many nagivational features, including a site index for quick references. Also, new sections are created for more interesting access for all users.This complete upgrading gives us an opportunity to upgrade our web and mail servers so that it gives us access to the latest technologies. Plus it gives us the change to re-organise the entire 6 years of Geomancy.Net data. This allowed us to put new ideas and create a better website for you as compared to simply a "facelift".So many new stuff are expected when the new website is officially launched.
