mksay
Hi Cecil / Robert,I read that 7 is considered auspicious in period #7 but not other periods.Does that mean the base stars will have different meanings for different periods?e.g. for period 7,6 means Fading Prosperity7 means Current Prosperity8 means Future Prosperity9 means Distant Prosperityby the same token, for period 8,7 will mean Fading Prosperity8 will mean Current Prosperity....and double-8 for period 8 is as auspicious as the double-7 for period 7?What does 7 means for period 8 houses? Administrator
Dear Rose,As the Flying Star Theory implies, it is based on the `birth chart' of ahouse. For example, we know that the current period 1984 to 2003 is underPeriod 7.If lets say you purchase a house e.g. built in 1999, and during this time, did renovations and move in. this house will be considered a Period 7 house. Here under the Flying Star Theory, the base star 7 occupies the centreposition of the numerals. What happens if we move into Period 8? in 2004?Well, if you do not do anything to a house built in 1999, it will alwaysremain under the influence of Period 7 calculations. But, if you had donemajor renovations, then this house no longer retains Period 7 influence butperiod 8 influence. The birth chart of the house now comes under Period 8.Similiarly, a house built before 1984, lets say this house was built in1980, Period 6. If no renovations had been done since 1980 to today, it isstill called a Period 6 house and the Flying Star calculations would bebased on Period 6.Hope that helps.Cecil-----Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'flying-star' suppressed suppressed>Date: Tuesday, May 25, 1999 2:42 PMSubject: Meanings of the Base Star Numerals Quote From: "Rose Say" This message is sent from "flying-star" Mailing List.Hi Cecil / Robert,I read that 7 is considered auspicious in period #7 but not other periods.Does that mean the base stars will have different meanings for differentperiods?e.g. for period 7,6 means Fading Prosperity7 means Current Prosperity8 means Future Prosperity9 means Distant Prosperityby the same token, for period 8,7 will mean Fading Prosperity8 will mean Current Prosperity....and double-8 for period 8 is as auspicious as the double-7 for period7?What does 7 means for period 8 houses? To reply: mailto:flying-star.1026@forum.geomancy.netTo start new topic: mailto:flying-star@forum.geomancy.netTo unsubscribe and participate only via Web Forum:1. mksay
Dear Cecil,Yes, I understand what the "birth chart" of a house is about. My questions were directed more towards houses built in the next period. For these houses, the reigning number used is then #8. So, does #8 continue to mean Future Prosperity in those charts? or should it mean Current Prosperity instead at that time?In short, I was asking do the numerals have different meanings for birth charts of different periods? e.g. Does #7 always mean Current Prosperity for all houses built/renovated in all periods?I apologize if my questions seems confusing. Actually, the more I read, the more I myself become confused, as sometimes I find so many different answers to the same questions :( (Different masters teach their students differently I think) And it is hard to judge which is the correct one.Thank you and best regards. Frankly, the computation of the base numeral is a standard format. You canask anyone who has taken at least a course in Flying Star. You can even askany of the students who had taken any courseContrary to what you had mentioned that different Masters teach theirstudents differently. I like to clarify that if the Master is teachingTraditional `Authentic' Feng Shui, the calcuation of the base numeral is thesame for all Feng Shui Schools both the Traditional Western (Englishteaching) Feng Shui or Eastern (Mandarin speaking) Schools. All Feng ShuiSchools teach the same method. Therefore, if you have not taken a course, it is definitely hard to make ajudgement. Even students who had taken the Applied Feng Shui Course atgeomancy-u.com can confirm that the base calcuation is a standard method. The only thing that may `vary' is the way, the North to South or South toNorth template is placed. At Geomancy.net, we prefer to use the North to South template, to make iteasy for users to use the reports. Therefore, the saying goes " a little knowlege is a dangerous " thing.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote Thank you and best regards. To reply: mailto:flying-star.1031@forum.geomancy.netTo start new topic: mailto:flying-star@forum.geomancy.netTo unsubscribe and participate only via Web Forum:1. Staff Robert Lee Posted May 26, 1999 Staff Share Posted May 26, 1999 Dear Rose,Please read below:------Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'flying-star' suppressed suppressed>Date: Tuesday, May 25, 1999 2:43 PMSubject: Meanings of the Base Star Numerals Quote From: "Rose Say" This message is sent from "flying-star" Mailing List.Hi Cecil / Robert,I read that 7 is considered auspicious in period #7 but not other periods.Does that mean the base stars will have different meanings for differentperiods?e.g. for period 7,6 means Fading Prosperity7 means Current Prosperity8 means Future Prosperity9 means Distant Prosperityby the same token, for period 8,7 will mean Fading Prosperity8 will mean Current Prosperity....and double-8 for period 8 is as auspicious as the double-7 for period7?What does 7 means for period 8 houses? The problem with this lies in the fact there is a rule set that the currentperiod number say (7) takes preceedence in which it controls the star 7.That means that say in period 3, 3 controls star 3, therefore anyinauspicious period is removed. Period 3 becomes the current prosperity. However, the rest of the stars remains unchanged. This is because, the fixeddefault in the San Yuan Di Li Theory (60 Cycles), states that normally forthe initial part of the period period 1,2, 3, these are the growing periodfor the year, this means that there are often difficulties, which is why 1is not inauspicious because its preceeding year is period 9 the futureprosperity.2, 3 are difficult periods as it is the start of a new beginning. Same goesfor 3, 5, 6. However during th 6 period, the period is better, thus, whenperiod 7,8, 9 comes in, it is where the future generation benefits from it.Thus 7, 8, 9 are normally considered as future prosperity. These are finding which I have uncovered from my research. Thus, it seemsthat the "basic representation" does not change. The only changes which willoccur is which number is treated as the current prosperity. For say period 3then Period 3 is current prosperity. While 7 becomes Future prosperity asdeduced from the basic interpretation. So far I have yet, to see any mastersmentioning that the periods shifts, as I understand that 2,3,4,5 explanationdoes not change, so the others should not be affected at all. Otherwise, therule set for the Flying Star will no longer work.Warmest RegardsRobert Lee Quote To reply: mailto:flying-star.1026@forum.geomancy.netTo start new topic: mailto:flying-star@forum.geomancy.netTo unsubscribe and participate only via Web Forum:1.
