myfs_102655
Dear Cecil,I am trying to determine a few things so that I can understand a few items in regards to Feng Shui and where I live.Question #1 is what year to consider my apartment built? The building itself was built/completed/ and occupied by government officials in the year 1951.In 1996-7 the building was converted to Loft aparments to rent. I moved in in 1997.In 1999 the apartments turned to condominiums and I bought the one I was living in.In 2001-2002 I renovated the apartment that I bought. (there are still a few items that need final touches such as: finish doors etc.)Question #2when calculating the House/Apartment number why does your "Free Consultation for House Numbers" have two blanks? do I need to place my apartment number which is #310 with my floor level which is 3? Basically what number exactly need to go into these boxes?Question #3When figuring out the compass direction of which way my apartment faces- do I take it from the main entry of my entire apartment building or only from my apartment. & once this is decided is the direction that the home faces calculated by the direction that one faces when entering the home or leaving the home?Thank you very much. I am very curious here, because well first I am very intriqued by Feng Shui and Second because I believe my house number is very unlucky and has had an effect on our wealth situation which I would like very much to turn around for us as soon as possible. Thank you very very much.Sincerely,Maggie
Staff Robert Lee Posted August 17, 2004 Staff Share Posted August 17, 2004 Dear Margaret, Quote Question #1 is what year to consider myapartment built? The building itself wasbuilt/completed/ and occupiedby government officials in theyear 1951.In 1996-7 the building wasconverted to Loft aparments torent. I moved in in 1997.In 1999 the apartments turnedto condominiums and I boughtthe one I was living in.In 2001-2002 I renovated theapartment that I bought.(there are still a few itemsthat need final touches suchas: finish doors etc.)Generally, the good thing here is that a period is actually 20-years long. Meaning that period 7 is 1984-2003, period 8 is 2004-2024.Given that you mentioned that the building was converted to an apartment in 1996. It would be in my opinion that this home would most likely be considered a period 7 house unless any further major renvation was done to the home to alter the luck of the house. It is very unlikely that the house will be considered a 1951 as there would have been massive changes made during the alteration to Loft apartment.Question #2when calculating theHouse/Apartment number whydoes your "Free Consultationfor House Numbers" have twoblanks? do I need to place myapartment number which is #310with my floor level which is3? Basically what numberexactly need to go into theseboxes?Apartment number report was designed to add an additional level of analysis to help determine of the layout is the same, but one is say located on 7th floor and another on 14th floor, which is better. So in singapore especially, the unit numbering for your home would be shown as #03-10. Where 03 is level, and 10 is the unit number for that level. Thus, there is two fields.I believe it should be safe for you to use 3 in the first field and 10 in the second field when using our Apartment Number report. Quote Question #3When figuring out the compassdirection of which way myapartment faces- do I take itfrom the main entry of myentire apartment building oronly from my apartment. &once this is decided is thedirection that the home facescalculated by the directionthat one faces when enteringthe home or leaving the home?Generally, given it is an apartment. There are usually two ways to determine the entrance. Yours is on a 3 level, so pretty low. Usually on higher floors such as above 10 floors for example, it is best to take the frontage of the home based on the living room. In your case, depending on the layout, if the layout plan is such that the door isn't located too oddly or being blocked, you can take the center of the house to the main door. Else, you should take the frontage based on the living room's balcony where most light come into the house.Generally, you take for example from balcony looking out if you take this as the frontage. All really depends on your layout plan and positioning of the door.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research Quote On 8/12/2004 9:25:08 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil,I am trying to determine a fewthings so that I canunderstand a few items inregards to Feng Shui and whereI live.Question #1 is what year to consider myapartment built? The building itself wasbuilt/completed/ and occupiedby government officials in theyear 1951.In 1996-7 the building wasconverted to Loft aparments torent.
