Please help re: Feng Shui for new Flat 100yrs old

Hello, I am very new to Feng Shui and wonder if anyone would be kind enough to help me. My partner and I [me 15/05/74 him 11/10/74] have just bought a flat that is 100 years old. It is above a smallish convenience store. It has two bedrooms, large kitchen, largish bathroom including WC, medium storage cupboard and large long loungeroom. It is on the first floor and has a old winding staircase leading up to our front door. The house number is 66. As you walk through the main door, you arrive in a hall, looking left this directly leads into the kitchen, then, clockwise, main bedroom, bathroom/WC, cupboard, back into the hall, loungeroom, bedroom two [which will be used as a small art studio] and then back to the front door. We don't have a rear door, but we do have a shared garden that is quite large, well maintained, lots of green grass and wooden shed for each flat [4 or 5]. We are near a church - can see this from the bedroom 1 window and hear the church bells pealing.

Does anyone have any hints and tips for us so that we can get off to a fresh new great start and for my partner to be sucessful in his studio. Many many thanks and hope to get to know you all in the future. Best Wishes. Jill

Congratulations on your new flat. Frankly, the best tip not just for yourself but for everyone who simply wants to create a harmonious environment or even troubleshoot. Is to always ensure that your Heaven, Earth and Human Luck are all in harmony. Particularly, Earth Luck which has an adverse impact on your overall luck.

1. Heaven Given Luck - which is luck that is given to you when you are born. Knowing your ba zi element, willl allow you to know what colour for decorating you home, or what career beings you best luck, what people helps you in your career etc.

You can make use of the free ba zi report on our member area website to determine your birth element.

2. Earth Luck (your Home) - You Home is the most important luck which can adversely influence over the Heaven Given Luck. Most of the time when there are problems, it is usually because:-

a. the House isn't suitable to the breadwinner (ie. use Eight House Report to determine this)
b. the house has bad feng shui (ie. Flying Star Report to identify where are all the problem stars that are in red colour)
c. an interior shapes and form (ie toilet in the center of the house, or
major Qi leak from main door directly out a window)
d. an external shapes and form factor where three is a Poison Arrow cutting into your apartment from a building across.

As for the point 2c. Check for major flaws like:-

- main door enter and directly opposite the house is a window which means Qi flow into the main door and directly out without actually circulating into the house.
- toilet located directly in the centerpoint of the house
- Odd shaped apartment ie triangle shaped or missing corner

As for the point 2d. Simple check for flaws like:-

- example is to stand at your main door or living room window/balcony, look out see if there are any corners from the building or cutting into your home from across the building etc.
- Any major roads that cuts towards your building etc.

Often, it is the House which has major leaks that will adversely affect your home. Understanding what could be the problems can help you know how you can attempt to correct it so as to create an environment which you and your family will feel most comfortably.

These are the general steps that you should check on your home to ensure that everything will work in your favour.
