myfs_141930
Dear FS MasterIm a FS newbie and grateful for your generous site. I have2 questions:1) Im wondering whether I can handpainta PaKua symbol (window colors) - i.e. will it have the same effect as a hardcopy made inChina?2) Do the Trigrams have to point in the right Direction? Or are they arranged auspiciously in a certain way in relation to eachother? You know, not all theTrigrams in your picture (see http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-8trigram.htm) point in the right direction... Why?Dagmar
Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 2, 2009 Staff Share Posted December 2, 2009 1. The ba gua template must follow the "First Heaven Sequence" arrangement:-http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-pakua.htm2. Why not. You may print out a First Heaven Sequence arrangement or draw one yourself. The actual ba guas usually will have a "charm" printed behind the ba gua mirror.3. Please note that the Ba Gua symbols are meant more for "protection" from evil spirits. While a secondary mirror on the ba gua is used for other "things" like : a conCAVE mirror is usually to suck back missing corner wealth. While a conVEX mirror is to deflect poison arrow e.g. a street lamp aimed at a main door or a main door facing a T-junction.
