Kitchen in SW Corner of the house

Dear Sir:

My sister has bought a new apartment which is under construction at present.

I had like to add here, just for your information, that as of now my sister's Husband is the Breadwinner of the house. My sister is currently unemployed. And her husband isn't doing well in his career - neither growth wise nor monetary wise. She also hasnot been getting any job opportunities either.

My main concern is that per Indian Vastu & I guess Feng Shui also, I understand that SOUTH WEST is not a good direction for a Kitchen. And per the Flying Stars of their new apartmentwhich Facies East, theirKitchen is exactly located inthe SOUTH WEST corner of the apartment.

What remedy would you suggest? Please advice.

Considering you might need to know their Date of Birth and Time of Birth I am providing you with those detailsbelow:

My Sister's: DOB: 05-Feb-1980 & TOB - 00:55 A.M. (midnight)

Her Husband's: DOB: 10-Apr-1980 & TOB - 12:30 P.M. (afternoon)

1. Please note that this is a free general advice forum. And all those questions with Date of birth provided - have to be ignored.

2. In my opinion, Vastu (Indian art of "Feng Shui") is more of Shapes and Forms. For example, several buildings that were constructed in India based on Vastu are buildings with an "eye" for "perfect" measurements on advice of your Vastu practitioners.

3. Under Feng Shui, both Shapes and Forms and Compass Schools are used widely.

4. For example, in a recent reply, I referred to "The Last Heaven Sequence" Ba Gua Trigram. This is used in Feng Shui.

5. And what is more important is the sector NW. Where if a kitchen especially the stove is at the NW cardinal point:-

5.1. Heaven Luck - luck from heaven is blocked or burned
5.2. NW is associated with the head of the house = Male Bread-winner.

6. Thus, on one hand, 5.1. = No heaven luck. In addition, Kitchen at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate" extremely bad for the male bread-winner.

7. I attach again The Last Heaven Sequence chart. SW is associated with the Earth. While NW is the Heaven. So based on this interpretation; Fire can be on earth. So no major significance - HERE

1.Should I take a water or mountain feature on my balcon (SW)?.My apartment (level2) is SW3 Period 5 (Pearl string--reverse).
Behind the house is road and at front are another house and trees

Frankly, in addition to what you had mentioned, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui need to be looked at; as it is difficult to comprehend just from written text.
Even simple thing like how large is the balcony; affected by direct afternoon sun etc...
For example, if the water feature is constantly or daily affected by direct (west sun) then there is high evaporation rate.
Here, if the balcony does not have a water tap; in no time: the person may become the hunchback of Notre Dame. Else, with high evaporation, some don't have the perserverance to main the water feature as a result water no longer flows - all dried up.
In addition, the moisture can flow into that room with the balcony. And such a water feature has dirty water (moisture) that can flow into the room and also increase it's humidity.
Furthermore, high sun light may mean algae growth in the "contaminated water feature".
If you have a water feature in the garden at SW is fine or OK. As often there is space separating you from this water feature. And sometimes, some may find the water feature too noisy especially if the balcony is beside a (master) bedroom.
Often, a parallel, can be drawn to someone wanting to place a fish tank for the sake of Feng Shui. But this is different if one is a fish lover. The later maintains a fish tank willingly. While the earlier, forced to maintain or most likely may end up considering it a CHORE to maintain a water position.
