1. In my opinion, if based strictly on Shapes and Forms, the layout you had sketched is acceptable:

2. Two minor comments:-

2.1. Mirror on the cupboard. You did not mentioned whether it is full length which includes covering the window and/or the entire bed.

2.1.1 In many of my previous messages; some people, don't feel good having a mirror facing their bed. Has more to do with "thinking about" it then in the name of Feng Shui.

2.1.2 It is like some people, can sleep soundly with mirrors surrounding their bed; while others; perhaps (due to their itchy fingers) read too many Feng shui books that say no no to a mirror facing a bed or even friends and relatives saying it is no good!

2.1.3 This is equivalent of some people who loves eating chillies - hot, extra-hot, extra-extra hot; while others.. don't even want to touch a single taste of it.

3. Images are frankly very common in a bedroom. Often bay windows have glass or windows have glass (glossy ones be it tinted or not) ; and at night, these are reflective and can even see one's face in it. Alarm clock dials also are quite reflective.

4. In fact, what has changed most is most modern TV's e.g. led or oled tv's with opaque or matt finish surfaces.. little or no reflection. The only reflection are of some of the borders of these tv!

5. If did not mention that the bed-head is against a wall or partial window. If it is partial window... commonsense is that no "pransters" e.g. throw in a lighted cigarette to the cotton bedsheets /pillow cases or do any other type of pransters thru the window.

6. Otherwise, your layout plan is generally OK under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. The study direction of this table best suits a West group person with Eight House position at SW = excellent or prosperity sector.

Hi Master,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

The mirror is actually facing the window( from the waist height upwards) where there is a "poison arrow ( a curved beam supporting the sun-shield of another part of the building). The mirror is not facing the bed however the bed is under the window just a small side of the bed is under the window.

My apologies if the directional legend provided was incorrect. When i used a digital compass found in a trekking watch and stand at the door facing outwards it gave me a value of N. The other directions are as follows, the desk is facing SE, Window is at the S, bed head is towards the S. From the resources you had provided in your website, i understand the this best suits an East group person. Am i right to say that? By the way, i m an East group person.

There is one more thing, when i enter the room, there is a wall blocking my view of the entire room and it is alittle dark in this area. Since it is near the entrance should i do something about it?

Lastly in your opinion, do you feel that the house number is important?

(building number 235=1, room number 211=4 )

Regards,

Ben

So far from my past experience, I don't see or imagine that a curved beam or if it is a sharp corner can act as a poison arrow. The saying goes "a picture tells a thousand words".

As mentioned previously, even if a person is an East group person; two best study directions are: "Prosperity; and Excellent".

I am sure you close and lock your door when you are in your own (personal) dorm room. If so, frankly, I don't see any concern with having a slight blind spot, here. I am sure also, if the door is locked, and someone ones to illegally come-in then you could be awareof it.

Dorm or no dorm, some master bedrooms equally have a long passageway.

Frankly, there is currently no such thing as Feng Shui of building number. For example, the compass school of Feng Shui : Flying Star can be applied for both horizontal Feng Shui i.e. the common 20 Year Flying Star analysis and vertical Feng Shui is about Feng Shui of apartments. It can be applied to units or dorm if you want to do so. But why do you want to do so. If the number is considered "inauspicious" : can change room or have auto-suggestion all the way.... and even the senario of self-fullfilling prophecy?

Hi Master,

Sorry for the late reply. I managed to get some photos of the supporting beam (as attached).

And is it bad to have a bed under a window? if so what should i do?

lastly, may i know at which position should i best/good to sit at? (attached is the layout of the room. This room is at my workplace and is something like a study room as well hence an officecum study room.)

Once again Thanks for your enlightening advices.

Regards,
Ben

1. Those extension - most likely aluminium awnings to provide shade does not seem "threating" at all. Frankly these are not support beams at all.

2. Use the Best study direction report to check your facing direction. This is considered a "huge" work or study space. It is not like "X" marks the spot or spots.
