Yin and Yang

Dear Cecil,

1) I study your course note that you mentioned about Yin and Yang. May I know that for Chinese Temple and Muslim Mosque, is consider Yin or Yang?

2) For Chapter 2 of 5 elements. If a person is belong to wood, then their occupation is gemstone biz(Earth) and Jewelry Biz (Metal). I understand that "Metal" destroy "Wood" and "Wood" destroy "Earth", that means that thisis not a suitable for business right? if yes, anythings can be done to protect?

In my opinion, some temples may be yin while some may be yang. It has to do more with how much lighting goes into a temple. Some temples, like the Lama Temple in Beijing - the interior of most of the buildings can be yin - dark. Many mosque depending on whether they get direct sunlight or not can also be yin - dark or brighter. For example many mosque or Surat at outskirts of cities can be yin.

Frankly, some temples can be bright and brightly lit.

The morale of the story, here is that it does not really matter.

What is more important is the concept of "depository".

Many Geomancers felt that especially temples are depositories of people's wishes, some sorrows, pain, heartache etc... So it is a "depository" of even confessions and sins (Catholic Church - have confession - booths).

So, it is the concern that a home is close to such "depositories" is felt to some Geomancers not too good. And some temples can be clean and some can be "dirty". As there are good monks; there are also bad monks; for example, some even "play" with "captured small ghost souls" etc....

Using a Luopan can be used to detect such anamolies.

However, one school of Feng Shui; compass school of Feng Shui uses the magnetic signature of the earth to detect qi. BUT if a house or temple or a place gets HAUNTED; such entities have their own "signatures" that you cannot just dial for a Geomancer's help. One has to get the "Ghost busters" or select priests / monks for that kind of job. For the Roman Catholic; this must be sanctioned and approved by their higher authories - and even exercists.
