Coconut trees do grow extremely tall in the 1950's

Wow! Can you see how high the coconut trees grow?

This picture was taken in the 1950's. Nowadays, such trees are only 1/2 the height of the highest tree in this photo.

Cannot imagine if the coconut falls and hit's one's head... As they say... coconuts have eyes... and it was considered rare for any of the fruits to fall on a person's head...

The local saying goes... I would rather be hit on the head by falling durians then the coconut. Why? although the durians have spikes; multiple spikes and act like shock absorbers... while a hit from the flat surface of the coconut is deadly!

1. The photo showsmy 3rd uncle who is actually taller than 6ft 6inches.

2. However, if we use a conservative estimate that he is 6 feet high; I measured this coconut tree and it is approximately 60 feet high!
