Dear Master Cecil,

I heard there are some bazi reading that is too weak where the master will use the opposite cure element.

Example :- Very Weak Wood suppose to need Water and Wood to cure but in this case the master will use Fire, Earth or Metal to cure.

Is this true? And will there be any danger?

Regards,
Mrs. Yip

Within a Ba zi chart; there is a person's individual bazi element.

In other "sections" of the ba zi report; there is a breakdown of the five elements and the person's percentage.

For example; in this sample report; the individual is a weak water person.

Not this example butdo check the"balance of elements"for example a person may have 1percent water element; 3 percent wood; 0 percent fire; 86 percent earth and 7 percent metal.

In traditional Geomancy; when a child is born; the above is looked at and a name chosen. For most Chinese a name normally consists of three characters. Sometimes a name may be chosen due to the interaction of the three characters of his/her name where the surname is fixed or cannot change.

Again it depends on the type of bazi chart. So chart may in "rare" instances require the use of the opposite cure. However, the key success factor is the mastery of The Five Elements concept and also usually, more than one opposite element has to be used to create a three or four elements e.g. water, wood and fire or metal, water or wood type of harmonious "flow".
