5 Yellows or spirit?

Some weeks ago, I started to make some minor defensive Feng Shui changes. Then shortly after I had a fall from a desk and two weeks after my husband had a severe gallbladder attack. Later, I realized that the floor lamp that I moved was in the South-West corner (5 Yellows).
There is an altar within this South-West direction and all I did was to
move the floor lamp from one side (by the window) of altar to the other side (corner),
thinking that it would be better to have a light at the corner.
Do you have any idea if such events could take place by activating the 5 yellows? Or possibly some spirits rebelling against positive changes we are making? There always has been a suspicion that this apartment might have some harmful spirits and we also noticed that the light of the altar got SWITCHED OFF by itself after the Feng Shui changes (not by the connection problem, somebody other than us switched it off).
If this was caused by 5 yellows, is there anything I should do? We cannot move the altar, and we always have to light candles. But we have some bells on the altar. If you have any advice, I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

1. Usually, haunting occurs for any of the following reasons:-

1.1. Bought an "antique" item and not aware of it's history and place it in one's home.

1.2. Sometimes hanging wind chimes may inadvertenly attract such things.

1.3. If one has children and they often have nightmares or if adults also have nightmares.

1.4. Rarer: If one recently moved-in a new home and usually if one has a child that becomes the "portal" for such forces.

1.5. If are unusual "cold spots" especially a bedroom closet...

1.6. Where the altar is located at NE (devil's gate) and SW (devil's backdoor) area. For both the Chinese and Hindu - puja (pooja); this is one of the most inauspicious locations.

2. "If it is not broken, don't fix it." applies. As for the Five Yellow; currently lacking in more details. As due to the "time dimensions"; #5 can occur in a month, a day, an hour a second... And if they all coincide then could be one of the reasons for your "issues".

3. If one's altar is located at NE or SW; one effective method especially for a Chinese altar for the Guan Yin is to buy a Chinese Luopan and place it horizontally - usually below the Guan Yin i.e. the Guan Yin is sitting on top of the luo pan. This will help...

Thank you so much for your advice. I have just one more question. It is about keeping the ashes of my husband's father. I researched this subject in your forum and you said the ashes are usually "neutral". My father-in-law died of a tragic accident happened in the snow mountain nearly 20 years ago, due to the lack of clear signage--severe neglect by the government. After his death, his sons went into a deep depression and my brother-in-law is still quite depressed. Right before we got married, we got hit by the huge government bus which totaled our car. In this case, do you think it's still OK to keep his ashes? We are also thinking about spreading his ashes on the mountain he loved.
Any comment will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for the generosity of your time in reading this and writing comments.

1. Yes, cremation is neutral. And even if someone dies of a tragic death; bringing in an urn contain that person's or family's ashes is again neutral.

2. In my opinion, should not be a cause any other misfortunes (if any).

3. Thus, keeping status quo or sprinkling the ashes into the sea is equally acceptable.

4. As we grow old; one day we may not have control of how the urn is "disposed". And perhaps, sprinkling the ashes is some form of a healing, then go for this option (if you are not looking at another option of placing his urn in a niche/place.

5. Best ofLuck!

Further to what I had mentioned; these are some interesting points:

1. There are many cases where as a result of a tragic death; the person who had dead; does not "know" that he/she has died. And in many situations; could return to his /her favourate place.

2. For example; this is a true story in 1930; this lady had a wonderful time with a new found boyfriend. And tragically, she died nearby in a car crash.

3. During the session where she was asked whether she knew about it; she said that she had no knowledge that she had died. And "strangely" she had walked and no one even "paid attention" to her.

4. This lady returned to the hotel suite that she last enjoyed very much when she was alive with her male companion. And she had remained in that hotel suite "ever since".

5. For those who have seen the blockbuster "The Sixth Sense" starring Bruce Willis; such things in real life does really happen: Where he acted as a person who did not realise that he is already dead.

6. Again do note that many of such spirits; meant no harm to humans. And would be more happy to "co-exists" in the same place although from a different plane or dimension.

7. Such spirits can be classified as "low ranking" or often non-evil where their souls were simply "shocked" and "not realising" that they were dead. "Low ranking" in the sense that they don't possess superior powers like the devil.

8. Hauntings occur, sometimes when inadvertently someone does some renovation and "affected" the spirit's hiding place or disturb them in that sense.

9. And often the "evil one" does occur especially thru a family member as a channel or "portal" of sorts.

10. And it is those "devils" that once awhile if they in a place; would then be able to control these "low ranking" spirits.

11. Thus, as mentioned these low ranking spirits often don't want to cause any problems and they would be more afraid of us then otherwise.
