myfs_144090
I am reading a book and it says to look at the relation between the water and time. Another book says look at the water and mountain stars. Which one is correct or more accurate?
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 5, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 5, 2011 1. Frankly, there is no one model that fits All senarios.2. In my opinion, both may have it's merits and demerits: as no two cases are identical; 3. Contrary to popular belief, many of the past great Feng Shui masters did not learn from a senior or if so, few got the privillege to do so. Thus, even in the past, this is how they do it:-How did all the Great Feng Shui Masters of the Past Learn & Practise their Feng Shui?4.One advantage of the mountain and water star is that it comes out with the#81 combinations and many other considerations.5. Frankly, I have not looked at the book that you are referring to; but the water and time is already being practised; just that it may not be in that "flowerly language".6. For example, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; majority of the time; even if the frontage may have the mountain star #8; no matter how, due to the Shapes and Forms concept; of "bright-hall" or clear space; distinctively the "water" stars are thus more important in this instance.7. Even if we don't activate the water star, a bright area in-front of a premise is much better than a "mountain". 8. Commonsense says that between placing a water feature vs placing a rocky formation e.g. Guilin blocks of stone.. count how many buildings prefer rocks or water?9. Thus, cow-sense says that most likely for every 10,000 water position placed... perhaps we may occasionally find a mountain activated. 10. Thus, water = flat space or bright hall is preferred.11. If we were to choose the 20 Year Flying star vs timely stars, of course, on paper; timely stars are SUPPOSE to be better PROVIDED one is that FREE to activate it... that sort of thing.12. There is therefore no right or wrong or this method is superior than that one. Again IT DEPENDS! 13. For a lay person, the more complicated the concept; the harder to follow and the higher chance of getting it wrong! The saying goes "ONE bird is better TWO in the BUSH" sort of thing. Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 8, 2011 1.In my opinion, the lowest common denominator is the five elements concept.2. How easy to apply a model or concept. So long as the concepts and method are sound, it is based on how easily it can be properly understood and applied.3. Ultimately, Shapes and Forms Feng Shui is in my opinion most critical. Feng Shui cannot live without Shapes and Forms, but may survive without Flying Star and it's variant.4. Thus in my opinion, if the concepts or models are based on Flying star, even the distant cousin nine star key belongs to this school.
