Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 8, 2011 These are some of the considerations:-1. "West" considered as Children's corner is kinda Kindergarten type of Fung Suay.2. Frankly, it still boils down to Feng Shui coming under two flavours:-2.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui (not Fung Suay)2.1.1. Concepts such as Yin and Yang- Here, majority of the "richer" folks have a child to a bedroom. - A bedroom should have both Yin and Yang- For example the study table is often closer to the windows2.1.2. Commonsense Feng Shui- Afternoon sun? or direct sunlight? This will definitely affect how we place the study table and bed.- Even if say a facing direction is suitable to a child's study, but if the child has to study in the afternoon; must take note of the glare from filtered light into the room / study area. It is not wise to study directly facing the sun.- If one has enough bedroom; it is felt that one of the most optimium method is to have his bed and study in the same room. Here, the child can if he choose study at the table and on occasions; lay on the bed to carry on reading ...- At the level where the study table is; open book shelfs are the best; as it would allow ease of placing the semister's books and even toys (no issue).- Each child has his /her own study table. As each child has their own habits and don't need to feel uncomfortable sharing their space where they have placed their pen, ruler etc...2.1.2. Layout of the room- Often, when we see an empty room; most of us would have already felt or envisage where we could place a bed, wardrope and even study table.- Most of us don't feel comfortable with the bedroom door directly behind us etc...2.2. Compass School Feng Shui:-2.2.1 Eight House/ East or West Group personFrankly, Feng Shui under this concept is limited. For example, although it is nice to have a room e.g. bedroom or study in our good sector; sometimes, our bedroom is in another sector - no choice! For example, if this child is a east group; but if the bedroom is within SW, West or NW, what else can be done? Nothing!Again, it is nice if the bedroom is a good sector, but no matter how, if the child were to sit facing his good direction; direct sunlight (assuming, hard to redress this) and other layout considerations that makes it impossible or ridiculous to place the table this way.. what else can we do? Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 8, 2011 Thus, under Compass School; the Eight House concept (East / West Person); this theory is limited; either it can be done or not. It does not offer any other alternatives if you can't face a good sector nor sit in a good sector for studies.Another Compass School Feng Shui is the Flying Star:-Last month, I did a flying star chart and "blessed" under the 81 interpretations; the child's study area happens to coincide with stars that signify: (that sector) is " Good for studies" Thus, it would good if the sector is a good sector rather than bad one. Thus if a child's bedroom has say Mountain #3 Water #3; then it would not be favourable. Therefore, today's Fung Suay or Sway is not so silly as to say oh! "West" is the child's corner! This is KINDERGARTEN type of Feng Shui! Dear Me! Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 8, 2011 A. We have to understand the Holy Trinity of the (Chinese) Luck system:-1. Heaven Luck or born with2. Earth Luck or Feng Shui3. Human or Man Luck factors.B. Thus, if one looks carefully, Feng Shui is only about Earth Luck and majority ofEarth Luckfactors has been covered under Part I and Part 2 of thismessage thread.C. Rather than place so much hope in FUNG SUAY or SWAY or whatever; the Human or Man Luck factors arein-fact most crucial.D. Thus, the Human factor has a higher weightage than others. Part of Part 1 and Part 2 is about hoping that we can give a conducive environment. But this is not enough!E.Thru conducive environment and giving children opportunites starting from young e.g.the library, educational tours etc... etc...
