myfs_149350
The house that I am looking for is in the NORTHEAST facing, for me and my spouse NORTHEAST FACING is our SPOOK DIRECTION.Right above the front gate (NORTH EAST facing) is a balcony from the master bedroom, meaning right above fron gate is balcony that I can only have access through the master bedroom.I noticed that atthe front of my gate looking towards the opposite, there is a buddha statue on the right hand side of my neighbour's balcony on the 2nd floor, and opposite this right hand side neighbour's balcony also has a buddha statue on the 2nd floor. Any special reason? Also, I am buddhist while my father-in-law side is taoist (Dua Pek Gong, also has an altar of my spouse's uncle). Where should it be placed if in the living room? Since I am buddhist, is it advisable for me to place abuddha statue in on the balcony of my potential room, like neighbour's if my downstairs living room already has taoist deity and altar? This house is No 4.I really like this house but not sure if to buy it. Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 17, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2011 Frankly, lines of text is very difficult to comprehen or understood correctly. Furthermore, things like where to place a buddha statute, here or there. Since a home is a huge investment; why don't you get a geomancer to do a on-site "Can or cannot buy" review? myfs_149350
But since my bedroom door to balcony would also be facing NORTHEAST (SPOOK DIRECTION), would this affect us? Can I place a Buddha statue on this balcony just like my neighbour, if my living room already has an altar and Taoist Deity Statue? Any special meaning for my neighbour (NORTHEAST FACING) and his opposite neighbour to place a Buddha statue on the open 2nd floor balcony? Please help. Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 17, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2011 Look at it this way: you have an altar and a Taoist diety statue. This implies that you are "praying".However, there are many (many) who place a buddha statue but this is NOT an ALTAR?Many place a buddha statue or buddha statues as decorative items. And so far, how often does one see someone praying to the buddha statue.Unfortunately, if you really want to know why the neighbour placed a buddha statue at their balcony; you have to face up and see whether you dare to approach or not. There are lots of people who place a buddha statue everyone. In their garden, in the roof top garden etc...Frankly, you ask me also no use. If you want to place a buddha figurine just because the Jones place one.. really it is your call. Overall, to many it is simply a "decorative" item... and it ain't no altar of sorts... Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 17, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2011 A buddha figurine is always a benign figure. Calm and composed not threatening.Making your case of a neighbour's home's buddha seem like a pussy cat!Take a look at the pictures! There is a huge buddha and some of the residents say "thankfully" it is guarding their apartment located in Block 82, CityLights condo; Jellicoe Road. You mean, tit-for-tat? That means, the few hundred over residents in each of the apartment will mimick your idea of placing a buddha statue to counter it?Frankly, it ain't no altar or meant for prayers' please. So what is the real threat? As mentioned, I have seen lots of westerners in Singapore and in the region; purchasing many buddha head and placing them all over their home. So, is this a threat? myfs_149350
Please do not get me wrong, I do not mean to counter it. Just wanting to know if there is any special reason in fengshui. Some people have buddha for religion purpose, some purchased from furniture shop solely for decorative purpose. I also do not know that if in fengsui is there any clash known if there is a taoist deity and alter on first floor, and a buddha on the 2nd floor. If there is no clash known, I would be relieved to hear that and can have a buddha on the 2nd floor just for my religion purpose.Kind regards
myfs_149350
Also sir, is there anything I can do or need to do if my bedroom balcony and bedrrom door leading to balcony is in the Northeast direction (my spook direction)Kind regards
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 17, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2011 Please refer to my very first reply. Go get yourself a geomancer to look at it. Why get a geomancer? One can't just write loads of text and hope that someone else can understand what you are saying... Frankly, your all text postings are ambigious and subject to the DANGER of mis-interpretation. Furthermore, there are no photos etc.. Thus who knows what the "buddha" statue may look like. Thus, since you are so overly concerned about the issue, go get a geomancer, please. Posting such things here in an all text format is like the BLIND, leading the BLIND.
