Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 7, 2011 Staff Share Posted October 7, 2011 1. Several blocks belonging to the same neighbourhood HDB flats; at the VOID deck (ground level) every pillar seems to have a tag e.g. C4033 etc..2. Why is there such an excessive tagging of the pillars of several blocks of flats.3. These flats were constructed between 1984 to 2003 (to be exact around 1997 thereabouts). They are pretty new and don't seem to be run down. It is not like each of the pillar is in dire consequence and need to be monitored?4. Perhaps, could it be that the town council needs to know the exact pillar and it's location. For example: a maintenance crew would be notified... 4.1 Block 391A Compassvale Street Pillar no. C4033 has stains on it... Go and clean it up? Is this the true reason? 4.2 Or something else more sinister like: Sir, pillars C4033, C4032 have collapsed... can the structure or block collapse? (In dream land5. Frankly, in the entire Singapore, I have yet to come across VOID deck pillars being number like what you see, here. EACH RED circle represents a tagged number e.g. W4022 ... what's up?
