Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted December 8, 2011 The garden above the new HDB Havelock Road flats are still under-construction.But doesn't the roof top garden with it's distinct geometric design starting to look very lovely?I believe the first generation, new estate in Punggol (around 10 years ago) were the first few which had experimented with a roof garden on top of the multi-storey car-park. Instead of the car-park running up to the roof-top.Since, then, many older estates and the rest of the estates in Singapore, like this newer generation estates have a roof-top (not exactly sky garden...) Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 8, 2011 Staff Share Posted December 8, 2011 Actually, the sky bridge is a linking bridge linking the two roof-tops of the two multi-storey car parks at HDB Punggol Sapphire...Perhaps, this is the unique feature (roof bridge-link) of this estate.. Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 22, 2012 Staff Share Posted February 22, 2012 This year, is the year of "sky bridges".And this "sky" bridge at HDB Casa Clementi should be considered the Mother of all sky bridges...Look at the two photos, it must costs quite alot of money to build an oval elderly friendly link bridge.BUT, we do pity the person pushing say a wheel chair from the ground up onto this ramp very elaborate rap.For heaven's sake, all blocks have lift and they also stop at this "garden" area.In my opinion, no wonder, why the price of new government or rather PUBLICH housing home priceshave shot-up! SOME ONE MUST have been made to subsidise such elaborate structures... GUESS WHO?
