The animal in the day pillar

Recommended Posts

Hello,
I read that the heavenly stem in the day pillars represents the basic personality traits of a person. But I was wondering what the animal in the day pillar represents, for instance if I was born in the day where the rabbit is represented does that mean I also have rabbit traits? So what about the zodiac animal year that I was born in ? Does it also represent me?
Thanks if you can reply =]

These are some considerations:
1. Usually, most people started off under the Chinese Zodiac (animal) signs = Personal traits.
2. A sample can be found under http://lovesigns.net
3. Ba zi can be as detalied as analysing 4 pillars or even 6 or even 8 pillars etc....
4. Another cousin is the Tze Wei Dou Shu counterpart of Fortune Telling (incorporating or combining Astrology and Chinese Zodiac.)
5. Even under the Chinese zodiac signs, because of the combination of the heavenly stem and earthly branches: even if one is say a Rabbit; there are also different kinds of rabbit e.g. the Metal Rabbit, the Water Rabbit, the Wood Rabbit, the Fire Rabbit or even the Earth Rabbit.
5.1. Each having it's own traits.
6. In a Ba Zi analysis, the terms of threats, punishments etc... is the interaction of all the variables of the YYYY, MM, DD, HH and even House of Life and Conception. (For the dead, two more extra pillars). With various permutations, interactions, clashes of all the elements, today we call this "need the assistance of computing power" to do these tedious tasks.
6.1. Even the generic term Ba Zi sounds the same; but in the hands of many practitioners, it will greatly differ and the analysis can range from a below par to mid level to Rolls Royce type of analysis.
6.2. Even experts can't get Para 6 correct, far lessa lay person.

1. Further to what I had mentioned:
http://www.lovesigns.net/horoscope/ayear/a90-2010.htm
1.1 You will notice that even under a specific year, the Heavely stem and Earthly branch will interact.
1.2 Thus a person born between;

27 Jan 1990 to 14 Feb 1991 is considered as a Metal Horse

2. The above Chinese astrology is based purely on Year of birth.
3. For month analysis, it is a different cup-of-tea. As the lowest common denominator: The Five Elements concept is used, here. And Month Analyis is associated with Ba Zi or Four Pillars or Pillars of Destiny.

In a Ba zi that has 6 pillars: Year, MM, DD, HH, House of Life & Conception;
There are 6 Heavenly stems and 6 Earthly branches that interact with each other e.g. resulting in triple combinations etc...
