Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 1, 2012 Staff Share Posted June 1, 2012 These are TWO major considerations:A. Chinese customs and beliefs.B. Feng Shui1. Under Chinese customs and beliefs: never move the current "marital" bed while pregnant or usually before one month after the 1st lunar month of giving birth.2. However, if you no longer enter into that bedroom e.g. fly off to KL and never step foot back to your existing marital bed. 2.1 Then, after you had left the home, so long as you don't go back to see the bedroom with that bed; it is still considered acceptable.2.2 Thus, if you completely left the bedroom; whatever is done to the existing bed is often considered a non-issue.3. This is equally common. For example, often, a family stays with e.g. their in-laws. And when their home is ready; and wife pregnant, often, they would purchase a new bed for their new home. 3.1. Here, once the bed has been set properly, when she (wife) sleeps on that new bed; it is nice-not to move the (new) bed for whatever reason.4. You mentioned Feng Shui. Like any other Feng Shui audits, it has to do with things like Flying Stars and concern of #5 misfortune / sickness and /or #2 sickness etc.... So this Feng Shui thing is a totally different area from Chinese customs and beliefs.
