Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 3, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 3, 2011 Go to all the newly opened shopping centres and we can see lots of impratical ways; architects work:-1. When the Ang Mo Kio Hub opened several years ago; the way, vehicles move-in and out caused several unwanted accidents because of poor design. However, a redesign of the movement today, has solved the problem.2. Many complaint about the NEX, Shopping hub. Yeap, drove there, went to the 90 degree turns; upto level 4 and I gave up, drove away..3. It is good that they are now re-engineering the Causeway point carpark. Previously a true bottle-neck: cars coming into the mall jostle with cars coming out jostle with the regular pedestrians trying to cross towards the Woodlands Civic Centre.4. In 2012; when The Centris condo TOP (Boon Lay); one can literally look into all the toilets: take a look at the photo: the bath-tub; the toilet bowl (WC) and basic are in full view... from the common corridor.. Furthermore, if one were to open the windows; I am sure, the toilets are in full view of neigbhour's unit. 5. Of course, many would drape the windows with blinds or screens... but what if, one could still see-thru the CLEAR glass? Neighbours and visitors get a free show?6. The Quartz at Compassvale; share the same concerns.. Just walk along the open areas and....7. Oh why use glass? During the construction of these buildings; Malaysia imposed a restriction on the sale of sand to Singapore.. thus, perhaps, it is more costly to build bricks and mortar homes vs all glass; I guess.... Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 3, 2011 Staff Share Posted March 3, 2011 Yes, you can but I wanted to open the window(s) to allow the high toilet moisture to evaporate away thru the windows. CAN I?
