How to curb the compulsive shopper in you?

If you often carry your credit cards and use it at stores to swipe away for goods....
For those who are compulsive and have too many credit cards and often, go into roll-over credits;
This is how one of my brillant scholar friends said:-
"FREEZE"
Friend A: "Huh? What do you mean by freeze? Do you mean a robbery?"
The brillant Scholar: "No! Literally take those credit cards and place it into a bowl of water. Freeze this water!"
The brilliant Scholar: "I can guarantee you that your cards will be perfectly alright IF you THAW them properly".
The brilliant Scholar: "By doing so, one will certainly not want to carry this hunk of cold dripping water around shopping. Secondly, by the time the ice melts (provided it melts - in cold countries); I guarantee that one will no longer have the urge to use this card. But rather, go home and get a proper change or bath!"
The morale of the story: "If one has too many credit cards or charge cards, it is time to keep only one or two. If two, the second one is only meant as a back-up.. especially if one frequently travels!"
