The location of a HDB development's pavilion should be a concern whenchoosing a flat. As a Pavilion mayon ocassions have funeral wakes& funeral rituals (noise).
In some HDB sites; their pavilion is centrally located and surrounded by the various blocks. This may not be exactly a good thing as virtually many frontages even as high as 5th storey could directly look into the pavilion.
And in the event of a funeral; the funeral tent; sitting area, portable toilet etc.. can be seen. And when rituals are performed; the sound can travel to some of the nearby stacks/unitss

In the past, especially during the 1980's to 1990's; whenever HDB flats face "west"; automatically; the architects would add shades to windows facing the afternoon sun.
But often after 1990's fewer and fewer developments add such "fine" touches.
I am glad that the architects of this DBSS Parkland Residences have continued with such past traditions. And for the owners; I believe; this adds a vast difference towards the effects of the afternoon sun.

Not exactly a "million dollar" view.. but at least; a welcoming change from many other developments where the frontage is merely a neighbouring block's stacks/units "staring at you".
A peaceful and tranquil calm....

Confirming the Flying Star direction. By confirming that the compass direction of the sales brochure falls within the same "tolerance" i.e. SW3 232.4 degrees to 247.4 degrees.
The sales brochure shows 237 degrees. While the onemap.sg shows 234 degrees. And both these two findings fall within SW3 Flying Star direction.
Thus it is always good to counter-check such information and futher confirmation with the actual on-site readings.
