myfs_155741
Hi Cecil, if the house is in period 7. Can we change it to period 8 by repairing the toilet, entrance of garage? If not, what is your suggestion? Thanks a lot and happy new year
Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 16, 2016 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2016 In my opinion, repairing the toilet, entrance of garage may not or rather so easily change to Period 8.If your home is a landed property and not a condominium; often it may require major renovations. And one of most common methods of changing to a new period is the removal of the roofing for major A & A works Such works may include replacing the windows/doors etc...On the ultra conservative side; some geomancers may even say that so long as if the foundations are not demolished; the home may not change period. But this is an extreme view. In Singapore, there are many homes that try to avoid having the requirement of building an expensive bomb or household shelter. Thus, their Additions & Alterations (A & A) skipped touching the foundations; but the whole house has been gutted, including the roofing. In such cases, it is in my opinion, one sure way to change to a new Period. Quote On 2/14/2016 8:45:07 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil, if the house is inperiod 7. myfs_155741
Great thank you for your helpfull information. We thought that changing the foundation will change the period of house. That's why my previous question about to have something touching to the ground as repair the entrance of car or renovation of toilet in basement as it will have major jobs touching to ground with hammers. Sometime we think about to have swimming pool in the backjard as it need a job to dig into the ground. But entrance and swimming pool are things outside of the house, but it requires big jobs with trucks to change things under ground, while renovation of toilet in basement is less touching to the ground as it's less using hammers, but it's inside the house. Great news is us is renew the roof and windows are the best options. It's one of the important list to do and not pricey and fancy as other jobs. It's also a useful job to do as the roof is old and windows too. Thanks again for all of your information and best wishes to Cecil!
gvelvet
Hi Master Cecil, We are looking at a house that has been vacant for 8 years. We will need to redo the entire landscaping in the front and back of the house, including getting rid of a big dying tree and roots. But inside, we are only planning small innovations such as adding a dividing wall. Does having the house vacant for so long change the house from a period 7 to period 8 house? If not, what other renovations can you suggest that will change the house from a period 7 to a period 8 house? For example, would changing kitchen cabinets work? Thank you and Happy New Year! Sincerely, Gwen
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 23, 2017 Staff Share Posted January 23, 2017 Usually around 2022.. 2023... Period 8's influence is winding down... and the next Period 9's influence is on the rise. In my opinion; it is best that one seriously study the P7 and P8 chart... especially to find out where the next period's water and mountain stars #9 are located in these periods. If this is close to the beginning of P8; then trying to jump to it is a consideration. Else in 6 years time ... Period 9 comes...
