Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 20, 2017 Staff Share Posted May 20, 2017 Beauty World Satay Bee hoon (and laksa) The Satay Bee hoon.. Not too sweet.. lovely..
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 28, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted January 28, 2019 Slightly sweet. But has the authentic taste. Usually, within a few minutes of pouring the gravy onto the bee hoon, most of the gravy gets absorbed into the bee hoon. Often leaving the coarse peanut pieces only. But this stall’s gravy as can be seen in this photo is still moist and creamy!
Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 20, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted June 20, 2019 This Satay Bee Hoon stall is very popular. It is located on the 2nd storey of BUKIT Timah Market. Stall #02-162. I was very full thus did not order from this stall. I walked past many tables and there are lots of persons eating it. Is’nt this a testimonial of how good it is: OMG! One day must try if I am near-by..
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 15, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted January 15, 2020 Teochew Satay Bee Hoon at Tanjong Pagar Food Centre. For $5/-. Generous portions of ingredients especially cuttlefish. Generous amounts of gravy. Still some left after completing the plate full. For other stalls, once the bee hoon was stirred, the gravy just dries up. Furthermore gravy is just nice. Not sweet like some others. Creamy texture. My first taste of satay bee hoon that is most filling. Others simply fills the stomach.. but yearn for more.. to keep the stomach satisfied. Understand that this is often featured stall. Now I understand why.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted March 22, 2020 Author Staff Share Posted March 22, 2020 Another contender at block 79 Redhill Lane/close Not bad. Satay gravy is not sweet. But this is a “messy dish..but lots of proteins LOL
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 16, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted August 16, 2022 Kopitiam Kang Kar Mall Satay Bee Hoon around $6.50. Acceptable or Okay. Better than at “Eats”. However, the bee hoon seems like Teflon unable to be coated with the satay peanut sauce…as shown here
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 11, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted January 11, 2023 $5/-. Probably the worst tasting Satay Bee Hoon in SG. In my opinion, should not be selling it. Luckily, it is their side dish

Thus for these several months, more opportunities to visit the Bukit Timah area. My first preference is always the food centre at Beauty World Centre. They also have a famous (old) satay bee hoon stall, there. I suppose more expensive. I prefer Beauty World food centre because, cannot eat satay bee hoon every other day. And this centre has many other stalls that I prefer over that of Bukit Timah Market (BTM) & Food Centre. Tried the Chinese satay stall (chicken) pretty hard to my liking at BTM.
