However there are many other considerations. For example: say if the altar sitting SW facing NE:- Less than ideal if it is not as shown in the photo where the partition is not of full height. Here, common sense says that if something were to accidentally fall off the steps eg. A child's toy.. it may just fall towards the altar - if it is not fully enclosed with a roof over it.
