muffin_99
Dear cecil,Is there any substitute for trees/plant. Since places which are covered with snow half year the trees/plant look awful in the off season. There is no leaf left on stems and they give sad feeling. They look like this big brown giants standing tall almost empty. Thanks.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 17, 2000 Staff Share Posted January 17, 2000 Dear Anon,Frankly, due to seasonal changes and like you had mentioned, your weather condition, if trees cannot really grow the second half, there is not much one can do here.It is difficult to find a subsitute for real trees and plants. In doors, some Feng Shui practitioners believe that artificial plants can `subsitute' live plants. But again, this is for `cosmetic' look/decoration only.I believe in the past, NASA had carried out experiments on plants in the interior of offices and found plants are `beneficial'.Recently, I read another article, saying that plants are `ineffective' inside the home or office i.e. to absorb `pollutants'.Therefore, one has to have an open mind and each of us decide for ourselves on this.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 1/12/00 2:53:26 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear cecil,Is there any substitute fortrees/plant.
