Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 21, 2018 Staff Share Posted October 21, 2018 1. This is not Feng Shui! I am just sharing a good thing! 2. Please note that through the years the model no. quoted: MK brand S4338 WHI [Year 2019]. In the future the model number may not necessary be identical to this. 2. The major advantage is that this door bell is compact and occupies the same dimensions of a concealed socket. Unlike some other brands that protrude out of the casing. 3. I have asked many clients to consider looking at this flushed-bell for their new units (whenever suitable). 3.1 The bell socket can be found directly above the cavity for the fridge in a past T.O.P. Treasure Crest condo development as the bell housing is just behind the fridge. Thus if not for this compact bell, the fridge may have to be pushed out further! 3. The MK Wired Battery Operated Melody Door Chime suitable for BTO HDB and Condo (Door Bell Chime). 4. Three years ago if bought from an electrical shop selling MK branded switches etc..., it was only $10/-. 4.1. But today I understand the price range between $20 to $25/-. [Or may cost more in the near future.] 5. The battery compartment is at the front (where it is stamped @ LOVESIGNS.NET.) And the battery can easily be changed. Needs 3 x AAA’s. Many tones to choose from. ========================== P.S. I am NOT SELLING THIS, PLEASE. LOL! Just sharing a good thing, that’s all! Wait! I had a few persons calling me to ask where to buy? Told them, Just because I share something.. does not mean I sell it. Thus please don't contact me on this. ===========================
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 3, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted January 3, 2019 Have also seen a Legrand brand set is pretty similar to this. Therefore looks like a few brands sell similar products.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 1, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted April 1, 2019 On 1 April 2019, this shop sells one piece of the MK DC battery door bell for $20/- excluding GST. Three years + ago this item was selling at this shop for only $10/-! The inflation rate was like 100% wow! Note: I don't have any relationship with this shop. Happen to purchase a unit for one of my homes... Thus this invoice is just a GUIDE! Also no guarantees that they have the stock. Furthermore MK is a reputable brand. Perhaps there should be many more shops out there that sell it. The MK brand bell: This is how the actual (external package) box looks like: S4338 WHI Battery Operated Melody Chime @ 4.5V Slimeline Plus F1727
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 7, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted July 7, 2019 Was at Seletar Mall. This Daiyo brand wired bell shares the same purpose of the MK brand. The free casing is an added bonus. Or can be done away with it. For developments like Treasure Crest, The Clementi Canopy. The Topiary & PARC Riviera etc..
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 21, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted July 21, 2019 1. Tip on installing the MK brand compact door bell for longer life-span 1.1. Want to know the not so good news about this MK brand door bell? 1.2. Frankly it has more to do with the batteries (leakage). 1.3. If the door bell unit is installed as shown:- 1.3. The unit runs on three AAA batteries. 1.4. Thus if one forgot to change batteries regulary e.g. yearly. 1.5. If one or several of the batteries starts to leak... often, the liquid via gravity will fall onto the sensitive circuitry.. thus say bye bye to the entire unit! Time for a replacement! 2. (Below) The trick is to flip the battery compartment upside-down. Got it? Get it! 2.1 Therefore even if the batteries leak, there is still hope to extend it’s life.. instead of putting it to misery.. as well as burn a tiny hole in your pocket. Right? 2.2. Alternative, purchase the slightly more expensive Litium ion batteries vs the standard alkaline ones. 2.3. I don’t recommend using rechargeable batteries. As often may need frequent recharging. A hassle to do so. 3. Another recommendation: Main Entrance external door GAP seal or the seller calls it: "Auto-seal" Good things must share, right? Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 23, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted July 23, 2019 Many users entered our site through one of the links from search engines like Google.com Search Engines has a habit of displaying a link to many of Geomancy.net's resources. Even if the resource has nothing related to Feng Shui whatsoever. Why? Geomancy.net is the oldest verifiable Feng Shui Forum and a mega site with lots of information.... LOL Our 1st forum was on a free third-party platform in 1996. You guessed! The forum is no longer in existence. In addition, many related sites have to advertise on ours. Not the other way around. Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 11, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted November 11, 2019 In the 1970's to 1990's another famous brand name was Friedland was another popular brand:- https://www.friedland.co.uk/en-GB/Chimes/Pages/default.aspx Then, it was a standard feature in most homes... Apparently, if one were to go to the above url; Honeywell seems to own this brand, today.

Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 2, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted July 2, 2023 Why does battery leak? How do you minimize such a leak? When we searched for clues, we found that many people have frequently recommended the reasonably priced Panasonic EVOLTA brand 1. Based on our past research, many have recommended to change / replace with Panasonic EVOLTA battery. 2. As many have said that the EVOLTA batteries are either less likely to leak prematurely or has a longer "leak-proof" life-span than most other popular brands. 3. Thus in 2022, we have replaced all our remotes and battery operated items with this model. 3.1. These batteries do come in various sizes. AA or AAA etc.. 4. Another frequently mentioned, and we had personally used are the Lithium batteries. Such as Energizer Lithium batteries. LITHIUM BATTERIES ARE BETTER, BEST - BUT AIN'T CHEAP! 4.1. Unfortunately, the down-side is that presently lithium batters are not CHEAP. Thus most cannot afford to buy these for all of their equipment. Perhaps only selectively. Such as for a Digital Door-lock also:- HAVE AN EXPENSIVE DIGITAL DOOR-LOCK? 5. If you have a digital door lock, hope the next time you might want to consider the Panasonic brand of battery or Lithium batteries. 6. Please note that we are in no way affiliated with this brand or their distributors - if any. Trying to share some useful information.
