I totally understand what you are saying. More information is needed to assess the situation and come to a conclusion. I do have a map of my home (compass directions and all) but no, I have not considered flying stars at all. The outcome I am looking for an increase in income/finances and growth in our investments. My concern is that because the East, Southeast, and South are all in my garage that this will hinder, or stop the flow of money coming into our household.  Are you suggesting that I hire someone to come to the house in person?  And if so, how do you find a reputable feng shui practitioner to work with?

Frankly, I am curious to find that you even include the non-living area = garage. And how did you come to the conclusion that the underlining concern is the sectors you mentioned earlier. As often or most of the time, such spaces are not included in a review.

1436750752_dontdragmein.png.ceaa2f05f840b8d5e40fbd3e4a8c52fb.pngThus I merely advised that if one does not do a proper Triage, how to know the issue. One cannot also eat and sleep on Flying Star Feng Shui alone.

It is like a glimpse of the tip-of-the-iceberg. What about the other 90% that is down under. Thus how to comment on such vague....

In addition, if the methodology of the underline basic fundamentals - if wrong... does not make the review right at all.

Thus nothing is mentioned in my direct reply of "find a reputable feng shui practitioner " at all.

You-:)

Hmmm... interesting reply.  The garage was included in the map of my house because it is attached and someone advised me to do that. Actually, one person who has experience with feng shui and on a feng shui site blog I was reading the garage should be included because it is attached. If it should not be attached, then I guess I would have to re-do my entire bagua map.

The bagua areas of South, Southeast, and East are all "in the garage" From what I read these areas represent wealth and abundance, the south fame and reputation. This is why I came to the conclusion that the underlining concern is the sectors I mentioned earlier. So are you saying that I should not consider this area part of my home?

I realize Feng Shui is very complex, but I'm also feeling like I'm not learning anything about what to do. Or where to go to get some concrete answers. This is why I asked about hiring a Feng Shui expert, not because it was mentioned. I was simply asking how to go about finding one.

I'm attaching a copy of my floor plan with bagua areas marked. Maybe this will help you understand my questions. Let me know.

1. I shall not be drawn into the “He said this, she said that”. On the garage, thing. The clue comes from the 2nd storey (level).

2. This is the typical western practice that is no offence a laughing stock ..

 4C0494DB-0162-4EB1-AB09-F265EB8F53D8.jpeg.68fdc464eecc2aad65e907f5464688a6.jpeg

3. For example, if this kind of “ ..... “ is practised especially in the Far East, sad to say; will become the laughing stock... = No substance...

4. At most.. call it kindergarten thing.

5. The difference between the bullshit and Traditional Authentic Feng Shui:-

6. In Singapore, if one were to practice the western style.. he/she will close-shop in a few weeks of opening.

7. If Feng Shui is so simple, then everyone will be able to practice it.

8. Precisely so. A smart child can even write a book on “bullshit” FS:

Chapter 1 : Introduction
Chapter 2: North = Career
Chapter 3: SW = Romance .. blah... blah.. blah

8.1 We don’t practice such myopic thing. Else we will be thrown out from our clients home.

8.2 For Fake Western Feng Shui, any Tom, Dick or Harry can even become a Feng Shui practitioner or book writer:

Chapter 1: Introduction
Chapter 2: South =  Fame & Reputation
Chapter 3: NW = Helpful People
Chapter 4: East = Family
Chapter 5: SW = Relationships
Chapter 6: North = Career

8.3 In the past, in the 1970’s, if one were to practice: North = Water, South = Fire, sounds impressive. But today, again such practitioners will be thrown out of their homes. (Doesn’t this look familiar to the western style, above.)

8.4 Furthermore, if these fakes also sell products in the name of fake Feng Shui.

9. Thus, when I first saw your posting... we are in Two totally different dimensions.

10. Holistic Feng Shui involves many concepts.

10.1 Such as the water classics:

And so many concepts. Not just the ridiculous:-

4C0494DB-0162-4EB1-AB09-F265EB8F53D8.jpeg.68fdc464eecc2aad65e907f5464688a6.jpeg

But ...

Etc...

0FFC121E-9614-481D-B985-4CCB6547E2EE.jpeg

Thus in Essence, you are speaking “Greek” and I am speaking Mandarin = Chinese. Two different worlds apart.

Good that you know this first hand. And my advice is don’t get involved in such ...

There are many articles in this website on this subject matter.

In fact this forum posting is in February 4, 2003 and she herself did her homework and literally was aware to avoid "Laughing stock"  ......

Case Study: How to recognise Fake Feng Shui (FFS) vs Authentic Traditional Feng Shui (ATFS)

1390475202_canofworms.png.fb65d34bd135d55f9a1c8ec2866087fe.png1315220904_fakefengshui1.png.6934e76799d9797e794df33757948d06.png1740605187_FAKEFENGSHUI(1).thumb.gif.d216954faa2ffa23690902b33cb6b97f.gif804549479_fakefengshui(2).gif.c96c94dd25dc70317f4c14b3ee55d30a.gif

1. The only thing they share in common is the word “Feng Shui”. Otherwise a Fake is but a Fake.

2. Western FFS comes in two forms:

2.1 Black Hat Sect or Black Hat Tantric Sect or simply called B.T.B. Uses a compass to determine the front door. Then superimpose a fixed bagua template. Sample of a Fake Western Method bagua map:-

1552558971_WELCOMETOTHEWORLDOFFAKEFENGSHUI.png.8b08d5a33adba8bc77462583d5dc3381.png270387145_FAKEFENGSHUIBAGUAMAP.jpg.5b9a0c8eaba3e15258eebfc3977cf41b.jpg

2.2 Western FFS: Also uses a fixed bagua template. The only difference is to align the frontage of the layout towards the main door direction.

3. Try to avoid these two Fake practises. No basis in real Feng Shui.

4. Once one is aware of this; avoid posting future Fake practises in this forum.  It is like approaching a genuine  parts shop and asking for fake parts and services.

5. For those who had studied : Michael Porter's concept in the field of Strategic Management:-

5.1. Porter's five forces analysis & his barriers to entry. Authentic Feng Shui shares this common trait: "entry barriers are higher"

5.2 Authentic Feng Shui takes years of study and training: and involved lots of science and art of Feng Shui.

5.2 Fake Feng Shui uses a one size fits all "Fixed" Template (rubbish FS). Entry barriers are low. As everyone can use the same fix template bagua chart and go bullshit their clients. Anytime anywhere. Entry level are low. Because such Feng Shui is called a No Substance stuff.

This practise of fixed template with compass readings is based on the method by Lin Yun. Where the compass direction is used together with a FIXED template bagua map:-

Meet the "Emperor" of Fake FIXED Template Fung Sway, here.

Confessions of Lin Yun

Transcribed from the Chinese Daily News, Issue No. 7110, July 8, 1997

July 7, 1997, Taipei, Taiwan.   As this country continues to reel from back-to-back scandals involving its political leaders and their spiritual advisors, the guru of the so-called Black Sect, Master Lin Yun, surrounded by his students and followers in the Presidential Suite of the Hyatt, Taipei, admits in a shocking interview of self-denouncement, “The best advice I can offer is to tell you that you are better off believing yourself instead of believing me. I am a wandering impostor whose predictions have been 99.9% wrong.”

He cited his 1994 prediction that Li Deng Qui would not be renominated to the presidency of Taiwan (not only was he renominated, he was reelected). He sheepishly shrugged, “My record of successes is very poor.”

“People call me the Grand Master when, in fact, I am the Grand Disappointment.”
Born in Beijing, and raised in Taijung, Lin Yun studied and loosely based his Black Sect cult on Tibetan beliefs. He told of how he was ostracized in Taiwan for combining elements of Taoism, Feng Shui, Yin Yang, fortunetelling, psychology, medicine, color theory and construction into his own brand of Feng Shui. He lamented, “My biggest mistake in life was to study religion.”

He would not name names, but he did add that he has given Feng Shui advice to many highly placed officials in the Taiwanese government. Although his Black Sect beliefs have been widely rejected in Asia, Lin Yun has found a more receptive following in the West, where he has a temple each in California and New York.

When contacted for comment, Lin Yun’s church released a statement saying that “Westerners do not understand.” When it was pointed out that the statement did not seem to have a bearing on the situation — the article came from a Chinese paper and was transcribed by ethnic Chinese into English — church officials were confused. Finally, the church resorted to its standard explanation that Lin Yun was once again misquoted.

This “living Buddha” (Da Shi) of the Black Sect church has a long-standing history of being misquoted. He needs to hire experienced media and communications specialists (“spin doctors”), or take a course in effective communication himself — because the only people who seem to understand him to the church’s satisfaction are his sycophants.
