Where's the mortuary/deceased identify & collection point? Useful resource on the later. Good read 2. Thomson 800 3. HDB Anchorvale Isles 4. There are lots more resources related to homes near-by to a hospital. 5. I believe that these three examples should provide a good flavour for a better understanding of a home or homes close-by or facing a hospital. 6. You wrote: "Ans which block has better fengshui?" Does it matter? 1. Frankly such things are subjective. 2. Taking a cue from this: "One man's meat is another's poison". 3. The infamous Block 9 at SGH = Mortuary 4. Look at it this way, won't it be worse if the unit is so close to this SIGN that says MORTUARY? 5. In the past, during the sale of the DBSS Adora Green, the most expensive stack in this development faces towards or can literally see towards not just part of Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital. But the whole hospital. 6. Your question is as mentioned earlier very subjective. 7. Even if you or many others have no issue with it. But for example, after the minimum Occupation period or M.O.P. is up. A potential buyer may think otherwise. Or even want to give a low-ball offer. How? There is no way of convincing others if they think it is inauspicious right? 8. Got to live with it or look elsewhere IF IN DOUBT. P.S. Kee Chiu if anyone knows where is the mortuary at SKGH? Sir! I only know that Kee Chiu is one of the contenders to be our future PM. Note: SGH’s Mortuary has moved…..
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 2, 2021 Author Staff Share Posted May 2, 2021 As a consolation, for now (2021) there are at least Six estates that have units with some view of SKGH: 1 condo, 1 under construction EC & 4 HDB estates including HDB Anchorvale Grove especially Block 324A has a view also of SKGH. Call it shared “common interests” of SKGH…

Thank you. To be honest and of no offence. My personal standards in choosing my own home is either: District 10, 15 or Seletar Hills. For example, in a war, one just need to destroy these three districts and either the Top echelons in Singapore be it Presidents / Past and Present/ Ex Ministers; Ministers, MPs, Heads of corporations and unformed groups will be wiped out. Some of us by virtue already elderly citizens so have.... Unfortunately for most Singaporeans who wish to aspire, have no choice. But you have set even higher standards for most Singaporeans. Do you know that just around Ola EC. The Vales which is a pure condo not EC is beside Sengkang GH. Which is more serious stuff as they have a A & E. While Ola EC is only beside a pussy cat Sengkang COMMUNITY Hospital? Frankly so long as one is not in close proximity to a morgue than this is preferred. What about many more hospitals in Singapore? Parkway East Hospital? Where it is surrounded mostly by Terrace, Semi Ds and Bungalow houses & Freehold Private Condos? Isn't Eastpoint Green Condo just a street (Simei Street 3) next to Changi General Hospital. I can go on and on. Basically if one is young even a PMET often has to start from "scratch". Most plots or sites have their Good the Bad and Ugly units. Thus no different for Ola EC. Where are still good units.

Jogk
Hi Master Cecil, OLA has TOP and I have collected key. I would like to make some changes to the Kitchen layout, would like to seek your comments please. 1. Change the facing of the fridge, facing away from the stove (is this recommended?) 2. Remove kitchen WC and convert into a laundry area

Remove kitchen WC and convert into a laundry area Firstly, Congratulations on your key collection / New Home! You wrote: 1. Change the facing of the fridge, facing away from the stove (is this recommended?) Yes, from a Feng Shui point of view, it is Okay for the side of the refrigerator to face the stove. Original means limited space and if fridge door is "right-handed-door opening" both limited space and only one person at a time to cook or use the fridge. A "left-handed" fridge door makes better sense, here. Note: Majority of fridge are "right-handed" opening. Only a handful of brands/models allow for either able to change the opening and/or allow for "left-handed" opening. There can be some advantage or disadvantages of either - will not be discussing this, here. As it has much to do with common sense. [This re-arrangement makes lots of sense since it is much easier to access the fridge especially to place items into it and or remove it. As there is now much real-estate space to do so as compared to the original design. However, (not Feng Shui) this also means that one no longer may be able to use a larger capacity (or larger width) fridge. P.S. For information, contrary to popular belief; that a fridge is mistaken as belonging to the "water element". But a regular refrigerator is considered as belonging to the METAL element. This is because when the door(s) are closed, it is virtually "all metal" (some with glass on metal doors). The only issue is if the fridge has an Ice / water dispenser module facing the stove. If so, here it is a case of "water and fire" clash. The same concern - if it is a wine cabinet with it's glass doors facing the stove = water and fire clash. Otherwise, no issue with a standard fridge facing the stove. Only thing is as mentioned above, is that this leaves not much space to load and unload items into the fridge and/or harder to either access the fridge or for another person to use the stove at the same time. Unfortunately, not many fridge have a feature to swop the door position. There are also not many fridge models that has a "left-door" opening: +++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++ +++++++ 2. Remove kitchen WC and convert into a laundry area Since this is originally a Yard (Service Yard) Toilet. No issue in moving the washing machine (WM) / converting this Yard Toilet to house the WM. In fact, this is quite a common place for some of my past clients - to do. [For some, they are not concerned even if their developer says it may VOID their warranty for this.] More... However, if one decides to turn this Yard WC into a storeroom; common sense says that the space is limited. Given that condo unit yard toilet(s) have low height ceilings - thus cannot really store much things. Furthermore, if the WC outlet pipe is not sealed properly, often after several years, when the "U-trap" runs out of water, methane gas may leak from this sewer pipe. And the area around this WC / yard may SMELL bad. Related:

Staff Cecil Lee Posted June 5 Author Staff Share Posted June 5 Build a Loft for a specific layout @ OLA EC Hi master cecil, we are planning to build a loft for the kids bedroom with the kids beds at the bottom and the kids playroom at the top. So that they can go toilet at night more safely. Is this okay for fengshui? The height is about 1.5m for the bed area and top play area around 1.4m Also the bed will be against the full height window, we will get a bed frame with headboard Frankly no major issue More:
