There should be sufficient air-flow especially for units facing the inner court-yard. As both of the "twin" court-yard designs have sufficient gaps especially around the East-West or West-East directions or openings. 2. Want to know what is considered an enclosed area? 2.1. In Singapore, there are many examples of which just look at the Block/Stack layout of HDB Rivervale gardens: 2.2. For example Block 119A and 119B are literally connected closely together with just one open area i.e. of the MSCP Block 119. Identical also for Block 120A with Block 120B. 3. In fact the first generation of HDB Punggol flats were built around units facing the roof-top garden(s). These flats are the Blocks >100 plus flats as highlighted in red:- 3.1. This is another example of the entire estate HDB Punggol Spectra wrap itself around the Block 624 MSCP.. and yes, the blocks/stacks are tightly packed together...
