Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted April 9, 2022 At 639B The Meadows, Punggol. Kopitiam Beside Kadaloor LRT station $4/-. Not bad. Well balanced flavour. Or rather not overpowering sauce. Smooth flavour with little or no aftertaste.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 9, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted April 9, 2022 Blk 671 Edgefield Plains Coffee shop. $4/-. Should have requested for mee pok. As their thin noodles is pretty large sized. And “hard”. Otherwise the sauce is okay. Fish balls nothing to shout about. Can easily be found in supermarket shelves. As factory made. Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 26, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted May 26, 2022 Location: Kopitiam Buangkok $4.50 Liver slices chewy and soft. Well balanced. Includes two generous slices of abalone. Overall, fairly good. One piece of abalone seen here:
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 27, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted August 27, 2022 Location: Blk 29 Bendemeer Market and Food Court $4.50. Unfortunately on that day, portions of the mee pok noodle was partially uncooked. The more one eat, can taste partial raw flour. Their fish balls had also the rubbery bite. Hard… Will not eat here again. Unpleasant experience.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 4, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted September 4, 2022 Not bad. Especially by non-Chinese. Stall name is Lina Fishball Noodle. Order their $4.50 small. Technically, well executed. I won’t say the best. But comparable to many good stalls. Well balanced flavours = Good. Would eat again. No, did not see the lady boss. Just many young handsome Indian men.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 1, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted October 1, 2022 Block 338 Anchorvale Parkview $4.30/-. Not bad. Comfort food
Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 12, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted October 12, 2022 Blk 622D Edgefield Walk @ Noodle Delight / Punggol Spectra $4/5. Ordered the $5/-. Noodle gravy is good and close to that of the Eunos Market & Food court stall which I like very much.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 14, 2022 Author Staff Share Posted October 14, 2022 Koufu Thomson Plaza Food Court Signature Kuay Teow $7/-. Enjoyed the dry Kuay Teow very much.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 4, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted May 4, 2023 $4.50/-. Average. Would be better if they gave more generous helping of sauce/chilli. They also have a $3.50 version. Good that the sauce is neutral. And does not give an after taste.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted May 25, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted May 25, 2023 $3.50/-. Unique: has crispy anchovies. Otherwise, quite standard fare.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 8, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted July 8, 2023 $4.00/-. So so. The fish balls seems not fresh tasting. Don’t be mistaken, not stale. Just the overnight thing… First time, unfortunately did not finish it.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 11, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted August 11, 2023 $3.80 or $4.50 at 50’s Teochew Minced Meat Noodle Fairly good. Truly old school taste. Nice looking plate of egg noodle … Flavourful Ingredients on a separate plate… Next door (to the left) is the popular and famous Satay Beehoon stall. At 8.30am felt that it was too early to eat this high protein dish.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 19, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted August 19, 2023 $5.30/-. Comfort food. Acceptable or So so only. Fishballs are large. But disappointingly no flavour.. from the ingredients added…
Staff Cecil Lee Posted September 13, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted September 13, 2023 Very unusual stall name. Botak in Malay means bald head. Hopefully won’t get bald after eating food from this stall. LOL Like this one. The gravy or sauce is light and nice. Leaves no weird or strange after taste unlike from some other stalls. $4.50 minced meat and meat balls version. Add $1.20 for three wantons. (As they also sell wanton noodles). Staff Cecil Lee Posted November 9, 2023 Author Staff Share Posted November 9, 2023 Ordered the $5/-. They also have the $4/- medium. Must say the chilli sauce is one of the best. Generous amounts of it. What attracted me to this stall was when I passed by someone eating it. And can smell the wonderful aroma of the sauce. However a let down was the fish balls, can tell is factory made. And tastes like it.
