Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 19, 2024 Author Staff Share Posted April 19, 2024 1950's to1960’s Simple & sturdy concrete bus shelter design. No lightning rod protection on the roofing unlike present ones, today. Source and Credit: Instead of the modern spaced out bollards, there is a small concrete wall to prevent vehicles intruding into the bus stop. And an unfriendly one at that. Where if one notice, the potential passenger needs to first mount down the platform before he/she can enter the bus. In the past, no such thing as elderly or disabled friendly. The concrete roof is also slightly slanted to the rear of the bus stop for efficient rain-flow drainage. ++++ Today, Year 2024, this is what remains of Lorong Kemunchup road This area once housed many factories. Including the famous Ford factory and Hume industries concrete pipes for civil engineering works.
