NikkiL
Hi, Would like to seek your kind guidance on this matter. Purchased a HDB and it came with a built in altar. (modern type). What can I do with it? The owner will remove 1 glass/crystal statue away. (Not sure is what statue as I did not pay attention to it much) Can I use it as a bookshelf when I move in? Because it doesn't look like an altar at all... Please advice if need to tear down the whole thing. Thank you so much! Have a nice day ahead! Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 4 Staff Share Posted April 4 Frankly, there is no hard or fast rule on this. Especially if there is no evidence or smell of incense burning or other noticeable signs that it was ever used as an altar, if one is not fussy, not an issue. Again this is subjective. I believe, simply go with your heart...
Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 1 Staff Share Posted July 1 Hello Master Lee, for the altar is it OK to have something like tat? For us we will only have glass panel on top for the altar. Can the rest of the surrounding area be used as storage? So long as separated by a vacuum space between both cabinets. This vacuum space can be hidden or unseen. And don’t display Fu Lu Shou etc in it
