mksay
I am a newbie to Feng Shui who have been learning it mostly through Lillian Too's books. I discovered Geomancy-Online recently and am very interested about all the services rendered here. This is the most organized and informative Feng Shui site I have seen. I have also noticed that the administrators (both Cecil and Robert) reply promptly to users' questions. I wish this site "live long and prosper."Question 1:As I am a Kua 3 (Female of 1970), according to my 8-House chart, my Prosperity is SOUTH. I have also heard that the FIVE YELLOWS is also located at the SOUTH this year. Therefore, should I or should I noti. enhance the SOUTHii. sit facing SOUTHQuestion 2:Does the 8-house chart applicable at all times? Or will one get a different one after a certain period of time?Question 3:Could the 8-house chart be applied to all floors of a say double-story house?Thank you very much.Rose

I have also heard that the FIVE YELLOWS is alsolocated at the SOUTH this year. Therefore, should I or should I noti. enhance the SOUTHii. sit facing SOUTHAlthough the Five yellow is at the South this year, you should consider thisa general statement e.g. written by an author for `everyone'. However, ifyou go `deeper' into the Flying Star theory, the `deeper' the analysis, themore accurate it is. A accurate Flying Star chart, should preferably take into account:-1. The birth chart of the house.2. Your personal kua number.3. The exact direction of the main entrance. (in 15 degree increments)Therefore, in my opinion, if something is so general as where it can beapplied to everyone without taking into consideration a personalised FlyingStar chart as basic as the birth chart of the house and the exact directionof the house, I will not consider this reading `correct' for everyone. Quote Question 2:Does the 8-house chart applicable at all times? Or will one get a differentone after a certain period of time? Yes. Unlike the above (general Flying Star chart), the personal Kua appliesat all times. If you notice it is personalised to everyone i.e. Kua 1 to 8.It does not change after a certain period of time.Ideally, you should consider the Eight House Theory as a personalized Theoryof your good/bad locations. The only thing that it does not consider is to match it with the birth chartof the house. Otherwise, this is a very simple yet powerful theory.Personally, I found the Eight House Theory to be `accurate' and many usershere have benefited by this theory.Currently, there are a few mailing lists that does not believe in thistheory. These are mostly "western " trained Traditional Feng Shuipractioners who specializes in Xuan Kong or Flying Star.1. What I believe they failed to see is that the Eight House is meant morefor your personal directions and suitability of a home.2. Some modify the Eight House to incorporate the Flying Star which makes ithighly "voliatile" and an example is in Derek Walter's handbook which hemodified the Eight House and combine this with the Flying Star.3. Some of these western school used the element of the Eight house to finda cure but later realise that it is opposite that of the Flying Star or XuanKong. This is wrong! The Eight House should stand on it's own withoutmodifications. Here you will see why some `Western' Traditional School Feng Shuipractioners `condemn' the Eight House Theory. At Geomancy.net, we do lots of research and look at all aspects of FengShui. One sad thing is that currently because of the impact of the Internetwhich is dominated by Western Traditional Feng Shui practioners, little isheard of the Traditional Feng Shui Masters or those that do not speakEnglish. This is why we try to be as objective as possible. Trust me. I have morethan 400 books on Feng Shui and every other Feng Shui book written inMandarin uses the Eight House theory. So if the Eight House theory is sowidely `condemned' by the Western Traditional Feng Shui practioners. You will know that because the Western Traditional Feng Shui Schools becauseit has a head start in teaching Feng Shui (mainly in English language), ifyou look at it closely, I feel there may be "bias" and they continue to givetheir own perception and continue to advise everyone that the Eight House issecond rate or only professionals use Xuan Kong or Flying Star.We do not intend to start a war here but rather, hope you can give somethought into what I have mentioned above. If you do not believe me, and youknow how to read Chinese, get books written in Mandarin. If the Eight HouseTheory (not Eight Aspirations) is second rate, why Mandarin authorsincluding many Masters `swear' by it? Odd isn't it?This is a wrong conception. This is why, we at Geomancy.net will continue tobring you both sides of the coin. We are versatile and continue to bring youquailty Feng Shui using the best Feng Shui techniques encompassing manyspecialised areas like Shapes and Form, Pillars of Destiny, Xuan Kong andyes! The Eight House Theory. The most exciting part is that within Ten to Five years time, Geomancy-U.comwill have one of the largest pool of we believe thinking Feng Shui graduateswhose services are valued by everyone. This is because, we hope our studentsafter completing our courses will not be `narrow' minded but schooled in allFeng Shui and Chinese Astrology disciplines. Quote Question 3:Could the 8-house chart be applied to all floors of a say double-storyhouse? Sorry for going off-topic abit, but Yes. -->
