iristang
Dear Cecil,My husband and daughter is a West House person while I am a South House person. From the centre of the house, the door direction is NW direction. But standing infront of the main door the direction is NE.It seems that the directions are good for my husband and daughter but not for me. What shall I hang at the entrance of the main door in order to help me but not affecting my husband ? Please help as I am very new to Feng Shui and only get to read about these interesting articles from your website.Appreciate your help.Regards,Iris
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 21, 2000 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2000 Dear Iris,Please see below:------ Original Message -----From: "pillars-of-destiny Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2000 7:21 AMSubject: Eight house - opposite to husband Quote From: "Iris Tang" Dear Cecil,My husband and daughter is a West House person while I am a South Houseperson. From the centre of the house, the door direction is NW direction. But standing infront of the main door the direction is NE.When using the Eight House or Flying Star theory, as you had mentioned, oneshould stand at the centre-point of the house to take the compass reading ofthe main entrance door. Based on what you had mentioned above, you should not be standing infront ofthe main door and then take the compass direction. (Reference on correctmethod of compass reading using an ordinary compass:http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm ) Quote It seems that the directions are good for my husband and daughter but notfor me. What shall I hang at the entrance of the main door in order tohelp me but not affecting my husband ? Please help as I am very new to FengShui and only get to read about these interesting articles from yourwebsite. You should not be duly `worried' about this. As you are not the only personwho faces such a situation. The key point is to remember that in the Eight House:-1. Generally, it looks at how suitable the house is to the breadwinner i.e.it is good if the main entrance door is at a good or auspicious sector. Itdoes not necessary mean that all members of the family should have in such acase, an auspicious sector for them. (It would be nice but not always thecase - make use of other theories e.g. Shapes and Form and Flying Star).2. If one is using the Eight House, sectors that one spent more time at canbe looked at. So, it is more important to consider what is the intangibleforce at the bedroom for each member of the family.3. It is also good (or nice to have) facing one's good direction for studyor work.Other than that, you should not be too concerned and try to implement a`cure' at the main door: usually a `cure' at the main door should bereserved for `poision arrows' aimed at it.For the main entrance door, as a general rule of thumb, it should bereasonably `bright' e.g. natural light or keep it clean and bright as thisis considered the `mouth' of the house.Warmest Regards,Cecil
