lof-ski
I am new to Feng Shui and have checked a few books and the archives here to no avail. My wife and I have 2 immediate problems, both related to our apartment having our entrance doors opposing windows. Our Apartment is a bisected rectangle with a triple window in each outboard room (Living room & Bedroom on exterior wall).1. Our entrance (although a little narrow has a large mirror and good lighting) is in a direct path with the living room windows. (Entrance > Dining Room > Living Room > Triple window) Can I use a screen (or other suggestion) to interfere with qi flow? Does only the most direct window count? What if they are kept closed 90% of the time?2. Bedroom has same problem, wall with door and closet opposes windows. But compounding the problem is that our most favorable bed position (Both sector and direction) are on the wall directly in between the door and window. (right now the bed is on the opposite wall, not in line with door/window... but it is in an unfavorable sector and direction. Again, can I use a screen? not open windows? (or suggestions, of course). The books I've read give very good general information, enough that I know this is a problem. But I can not find any cures specific enough to feel comfortable knowing that I am not making things worse. Thank you in advance.
Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 21, 2000 Staff Share Posted August 21, 2000 Dear Rich,Please see below:------ Original Message -----From: "pillars-of-destiny Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2000 7:21 AMSubject: Bed placement and opposing doors and windows Quote From: "Rich Lowther" I am new to Feng Shui and have checked a few books and the archives hereto no avail. My wife and I have 2 immediate problems, both related to ourapartment having our entrance doors opposing windows. Our Apartment is abisected rectangle with a triple window in each outboard room (Living room &Bedroom on exterior wall).1. Our entrance (although a little narrow has a large mirror and goodlighting) is in a direct path with the living room windows. (Entrance >Dining Room > Living Room > Triple window) Can I use a screen (or othersuggestion) to interfere with qi flow? Does only the most direct windowcount? What if they are kept closed 90% of the time? The concept here is to get Qi to meander slowly circulating into the room. The most effective method is as you mentioned is to use a screen closer tothe door area so that Qi that comes in thru the main entrance can slowlymeander into the house. - Usually this is the best method. The screen insuch a situation need not be full height but it should at least cover 3quarters of the door (height). There are other alternatives like closing this side of the window so that Qidoes not flow directly out of the house. This is an option you can explore. Here, a curtain would be useful if this is the sliding glass area. Quote 2. Bedroom has same problem, wall with door and closet opposes windows. But compounding the problem is that our most favorable bed position (Bothsector and direction) are on the wall directly in between the door andwindow. (right now the bed is on the opposite wall, not in line withdoor/window... but it is in an unfavorable sector and direction. Again, canI use a screen? not open windows? (or suggestions, of course). If you can try to close that side of the window wherethe door is directlyopposite the windows. Again, curtains can help in such a situation. For the bed placement, priority should go to it placed based on good Shapesand Form.Only after the above condition has been met, then you can look at favourableor unfavourable directions based on the Eight house. Even if it is anunfavourable direction, not much can be done about the situation other thanto let the partner with a better auspicious sector sleep closer to it whilethe other partner or spouse sleep further away. For example, if the sector is SW and it is an auspicious sector for thehusband, while it is an inauspicious sector for the wife, the husband shouldsleep in the bed closest to the SW sector while the wife, sleeps further tothe other side. The husband, then `acts' like a `shield'.Warmest Regards,Cecil
Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 12, 2020 Staff Share Posted April 12, 2020 Case Study: Bed placement under the Eight House Concept:- Case Study 1: Identifying Health Issues early in the Master Bedroom (If any) Major concepts: a. Eight House Concept: Who sleeps where? b. Flying Star Feng Shui: NW MS#5 W#2 (Nasty Stars) c. Ba Zi Feng Shui: Binding elements (colours) d. Shapes & Forms: Poison arrow from sharp corner of ward-rope 1. In this illustration: #5 = misfortune with #2 sickness affects the health of women. 2. This issue was identified and this flaw can be discussed with the client as one of the considerations to take note of should they still want to go through with the purchase of this unit. Engaging a Feng Shui Master? Check that they do provide you with a detailed Feng Shui report. Another example: Case Study 4: Applying Ba Zi Feng Shui + Who sleeps where is no accident Major concepts: a. Eight House Concept: Who sleeps where? b. Flying Star Feng Shui c. Ba Zi Feng Shui: Binding elements (colours) d. Shapes & Forms: Kitchen at NW - Fire@Heaven's Gate 1. Both partners individual best colours are combined to find a common denominator. 2. In this example, both partners have a common element: Water element. 3. Thus in the master bedroom, water element is one of the colours used in this bedroom. 4. In addition, who sleeps where is no accident. 4.1. This is because the Qi flowing from NE towards the bedroom window is inauspicious for Mrs. 4.2. Thus Mr sleeps closer to the windows to shield or protect Mrs. 5. At NE sector, from now till 2023 = Very auspicious. But from 2024 onwards, this becomes past prosperity. 6. This unit is also affected by the inauspicious Fire at Heaven's Gate. As the earlier case studies 2 and 3 had already covered this, no longer discussed, here. One more example: Case Study 6: Can my dad occupy the utility room? Yes, the utility room is suitable to dad: 1. Dad is a west group person. 2. The utility room is located at West sector of the house. 3. The bed-head direction facing west (as shown) is suitable to dad. 4. In addition, the sector his bedroom is is equally suitable to him.
