dorje1
Please if someone could answer this for me I would be very grateful.I have some confusion about the water and mountain stars directions of movement. For example: My house was built In period 6 . I have a front door in NW2door (320).So my water star is 7 forward /yang. My mountain star is 5.SE.because it is opposite of 7. Wouldn't it also be SE2 and be forward/yang? (5+, 6, 7+)My confusion is in a period 7 front door. N1 (340) the water star is a 3+(forward )and the mountain star is 2- (reverse.) (2-, 7, 3+). Could you pleaseexplain why the 2 is reverse/yin. I thought the mountain star is exact opposite of the water star.(which wouuld make them both yang /forward). Or does one take another compass reading for the mountain star direction?Thank you,Bill

dorje1
Hi Robert, I have been studying the info you gave me and I am still a litlle confused.According to other Masters (Lynn Yap)1,3,5,7,9 stars are +--2,4,6,8, stars are -++If this is correct wouldn't my 5 (150 degrees) and7 (330 degrees) both in the third sector be (-) or reverse? Thank you,Bill

Yes, that is ONLY ONE part of the calculation. If that is the only portion which you have learnt or if the practitioners had only told you that portion, then I am afraid you will never be able to get the proper stars. The process is actually very simple when you know how to view the chart as a compass and what is the +-- or -++ is for. As mentioned to you, so far you will not be able to understand the flying star calculation simply from the current books available on Flying Star. These only teaches you some portion or did not tell you why the calculation are done so.Currently, even for the even and odd (so call method), do you really know why they are termed as +-- or -++. I am currently not available for at least another week, so I will not be going into details here as I can see that you do not know very much of the basics of Flying Star to be able to understand what I would be putting forth. Without the basic foundations to understanding the Flying Star, you will get confused and will make mistakes in doing your own calculations. In any case, please take the calculations done my me manually for you (in the last email) or use the Flying Star Report as the software have the FULL calculation of PART ONE and PART TWO of determining the movement of the stars.Warmest RegardsRobert Lee Quote Thank you,Bill
dorje1
Hi RobertI agree with you that I am a beginner at Flying Stars. I have just begun Joseph Yu,s 3 courses including Flying Stars. So I hope that I will soon understand the basic foundations clearly.I understood --+ to mean yin reverse, yin reverse, yang forward, which determines whether the Mountain and water stars float in a yin or yang direction based on the 24 mountains of the Lo pan compass. My confusion was with the #5 star which did not have a direction in the Lo-Pan. Do I undersand correctly that I use the period star to determine the Yin or Yang attibute. Thanks again Robert and sorry for the foolish questions.I hope they will become more intellegent soon.Best wishesBill

Yes, Flying Star requires a clear understanding of the various foundation, otherwise you will not be able to apply them. Do I undersand correctly that I use the period star to determine theYin or Yang attibute. For this portion. It depends on which theory you want to employ them.Currently, there are 3 different theories for this. If you take the defaulttheory (being each period is 20-years), then 5 is being assigned to the basestar.Warmest RegardsRobert Lee Quote Thanks again Robert and sorry for the foolish questions.I hope they willbecome more intellegent soon.Best wishesBillTo reply: mailto:free-advice.1127@forum.geomancy.netTo start new topic: mailto:free-advice@forum.geomancy.netTo unsubscribe and participate only via Web Forum:1.
