This pond is not where it should be

I am forced to create a pond on the south side of our property to catch the bad water runoff whenever it rains; otherwise, the property is flooded The runoff water accummulates in the lowest point and this is where I will dig.
If South is fire, a pond is a no-no. Please advice what remedies I can do. Thank you.

Dear Nonie,
There are various FS concepts and frankly, it may not be that bad as basing it on the south side / fire with water may not necessarily mean inauspiciousness.
If you have pictures of it, feel free to post it in this forum. I can take a look at it. More importantly, Shapes and Form is a major consideration.
One KEY area in Feng Shui is the accumulation of wealth and draining of `bad' water.
Perhaps, it may be premature to say that this is inauspicious. Alternatively, it could spell auspiciousness. I am unable to comment fully at this moment without much info on the land form of your home.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
