myfs_77855
Hi. I'm a new member and am not sure how the conferences work. Afterposting this message, will I get emails from people who are members of thisconference? Oh well, here goes.Anyway, I have a question about the 20 year periods and about what happensto a number's energy and behavior (irrespective of its classic "good"/"bad"characteristics) in the other eight 20 year periods when it is not the"prevailing" number, e.g., number 7 currently. So, what I've heard is that a number prevails for 1 period, remains in adiminishing growth phase for another 2 periods, goes dead for 4 moreperiods, and then starts to head back (still being weak) toward prominencefor another 2 periods.I have read that ANY of the stars or numbers (no matter how naturallyfortuitous, like an 8) is apt to behave badly when in a "dead" or "weak"period phase, and fairly well (or even fantastically) during its 20 yearreign of prominence and for 2 subsequent periods (but as the energy getsincreasingly weaker). Thanks for your help.By the way, what a great website! Staff Cecil Lee Posted February 19, 2002 Staff Share Posted February 19, 2002 Dear Laurie,1. Yes, Flying Star is based on the 9 periods of the Chinese calendar system.2. For the benefit of users who are not aware what is the nine periods. You can view this URL:http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-calendar.htm3. One 1 Cycle of the lunar calendar consists of 180 years or 9 periods x 20 years.4. Each cycle is divided into 3 groups: Upper, Middle and Lower. Each group comprise 3 periods. Each period is 20 years.5. This is where the Flying Star Feng Shui is based on this 20 year cycle.6. And as you have mentioned can be classified as the Year cycle. From what you had mentioned, it is true that within each 20 year cycle, the numbers or periods 1 , 2, 3... to 9 flows in each year.In general it goes from `birth' Period 1 to `struggle' Periods 3 to 6. And `prosperity' around Period 7 to 9. And returns to birth again. Therefore, for example, each year is govern by a `Period number'. Please see below:-Year 2000 - Period 9Year 2001 - Period 8Year 2002 - Period 7Year 2003 - Period 6Year 2004 - Period 5Year 2005 - Period 4Year 2006 - Period 3Year 2007 - Period 2Year 2008 - Period 1Year 2009 - Period 9 Year 2010 - Period 8Year 2011 - Period 7Year 2012 - Period 6Year 2013 - Period 5From the above, one can find that in Year 2001 - this is the new Period 1 and in year 2009 - this is the last Period 9. And in 2010 - Period 1 starts again.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/10/2002 6:06:14 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi. I'm a new member and amnot sure how the conferenceswork.
