Is it OK to have a sink opposite the stove? Thanks.

Dear Anon,
1. In general, many Feng Shui practitioners or those who know about Feng Shui, tend to avoid having a sink facing or opposite the stove. This is due to water and fire clashing together.
2. If one has such a situation, one may apply the productive cycle under the Five elements concept by the introduction of wood element.
3. Here, fire -> (adding wood) -> water will form a three element combination flow.
4. In my opinion, it is still acceptable if the kitchen is located the South - fire element(compass direction - area) of the house.
5. One of the worst directions to have a sink opposite the stove is at the North (compass direction of the house). Here, it is said that, North represents the water element and it would be much harder for the stove (fire) to exist.
