Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 15, 2003 Staff Share Posted January 15, 2003 Location: 24, 26 and 28 Fernwood TerraceDeveloper: Hong Leong Holdings via Harbour View Hotel Pte LtdTOP was in 1994 or around 8 years ago.Tenure: FreeholdA total of 215 units comprising 3, 4, Studio and Penthouse apartments.Comments:1. Formerly, this site was located on a Malay type of village. 2. Once the former qi of this village inclusive of a few unmarked burial was removed, thru time, this site being renewed with much Yang (human activity) because of it's 215 units and family nucleus.3. In fact, in Singapore, there are few of such a configuration: where the twin blocks can actually be seen as one rectangle sitting nearly 45 degrees from intersection of the traffic junction of Marine Parade Road with Siglap Road.4. This is not a popular design for developers as many prefer to sell more units like the Rivervale Crest condo where, a much smaller site than this can house more than 450 units or 50 percent units.5. However, the residents here are lucky because, this is considered a Castle Gate orientation of the entire frontage of the apartments. If one takes a top view, this Castle Gate formation has:1. a symbolic protective triangle (as shown in the attached illustration in a red triangle)2. The Ming Tang or bright hall or water position being water, destroys the triangle or fire (and this is represented by wealth formation)3. The rectangle block is situated at a safe distance behind giving it the protection to it's frontage.4. Previous transacted price range from $560 to $750 psf. However, with the current depressed market even for freehold properties, prices are considered a wee bit, steep at the moment.5. It is indeed one of the very few condos, I can recall, which both defensive and at the same time the block is based on a stable Earth element block.Warmest Regards,CecilPS. Staff Cecil Lee Posted July 14, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted July 14, 2019 Hi Cecil, I google the website, saw your comments on Fernwood tower many years ago. Is this condo feng shui no good. Also checked from website, there are ghost stories about this place. Lately I am looking for a bigger area place, be it condo or landed property. And this condo has a decent area of 1600sqft++, hence thinking of going to view one of the unit today (is facing SE). What is your advice or any comment of this Fernwood tower? Thanks. <Hidden>

Staff Cecil Lee Posted December 16, 2019 Author Staff Share Posted December 16, 2019 Hi Master Cecil, I saw your comments on Fernwood Towers not being a good place to live. We went to visit and also didn’t really feel comfortable, but price seems good for investment. What is your advice on Fernwood Towers as an investment? Will the bad fengshui affect that as well? Thank you so much for your help. Reply: Feng Shui is about earth luck. Thus if you personally don’t stay there, no issue on your part
