Staircase and toilet in center of house

Dear Robert and Cecil,
I read that the center of the house should not have a staircase and toilet. Sad to say, my house has both a staircase and a toilet located in the center. Is there a cure for this? Please help.
My bedroom occupies the south sector (disaster) and half the SW sector (prosperity) of the house. The entrance of the bedroom door is located in the SW sector and also faces SW. My bed is located in the SE sector of the bedroom. Will I encounter a lot of difficulties in this case. My kua no. is 8.
Is it more important to have the main door face a good direction or for it to be located in a good sector.
Also, is it more important to get the main door face a good direction or for the bedroom to be located in a good sector.
I find that it is really difficult to find a perfect house unless you build it from scratch.

Frankly, there is no known effective cures for this.
For the toilet:-
1.The best you can do is to keep it bright and dry and close the door when not in use.
2.Avoid placing any mirrors close to the centrepoint of the house as it will a disturbance of Qi as light is deflected.

The Eight House cannot be used to determine or analyse in detail. Under the Eight House, the only best thing to do is to sleep closer to e.g. the Prosperity line.
This takes second or third priority to Shapes and Form with regards to the bedroom. For example, try not to have the bed facing the bedroom door. The proper tool to analyse a house is using the Flying Star.

For the main door, priority should be given for it to face a good direction. Here, if it faces your Excellent location, for example this is good.
Usually, when your main door faces a good direction, usually this is also a good sector unless your door is `slanted' at a large degree to another direction.

Yes, I agree with you in this situation. As we cannot buy a perfect house, we can try to minimize buying a really " bad " house e.g. full of missing corners or toilets in the wrong locations.
We should bear in mind that if a house chart is considered " auspicious ", however, if its shape and form is really bad e.g. toilet above the main entrance, blue roof etc... This is bad.

You mentioned something about a blue roof being bad. Can you explain? A neighbor has shingles on her roof that are blue, so that the entire roof is blue. She has had a run of bad luck, i.e., falls, family troubles, etc. I wonder if there is a connection?

Symbolism in Feng Shui is equally important i.e. Blue symbolises " Water. "
In the Book of I-Ching, Water means having difficulties:-
1. If an entire roof is covered with `water' (blue) one can imagine the
amount of problems the household will get. The amount of `water' weighing
down on one's home is enormous.
2. As I mentioned also that too much water in relation to the home e.g.
greater than 33.3 percent is equally bad as too much water results in an Yin
environment.
3. I have seen quite alot of occupants of houses with `blue' roofs facing
difficulties and this correlates to what you have mentioned and to me, I
believe it is bad to have blue tiled roof.
4. The ideal tiles are the `clay' orange or red hue tiles.
What about Green?
One should not purposely use Green roof tiles. But if so, it is ok because
it symbolises `greenery'.
A few years ago... I remembered one of my friends telling me that his
house's `clay' (orange) tiles were covered in green algae during that time
he had enormous luck winning lots of things etc... However, after he had the
entire roof cleaned, things went to normal. He thus regretted cleaning away
the `green' from the roof.
(This does not mean that everyone will get lucky with green roofs.)
One lesson here is that we cannot assume that all " water features " are
auspicious to the household. If we are not careful, one can be " drowned "
by water.
