I was thinking of adding an extension to my house in 2004.My problem is that the facing direction is SW2, which gives you 2-5-8
combinations in the facing, middle and sitting positions.This is very strong earth cutting a diagonal line right across the property.

Can I clarify, SW2 (217.5-232.4) - South-West (225). You mentioned 2-5-8. (I assume #2 (mountain) #8 (water) and base #5.
Perhaps, it should be #8 (mountain) with #2 (water) and #5 base. Is this, what you meant.
