myfs_100426
Hi Cecil,We live in the US, California. Our back of house has a yard. Behind the yard is an upward slope (10 ft). After the upward slope is another house above the slope. So we have a house behind us on an upward slope. Some Chinese say it's bad but they won't tell me why. Can u shed your experience on this? Thanks,Mei
Staff Cecil Lee Posted January 30, 2004 Staff Share Posted January 30, 2004 Dear Mei Lee,Generally, it has more to do with "commonsense approach" to Feng Shui. This is because, if the site / slope is "well maintained" it is fine. But in some cases, such as poor piling done and due to heavy (or very heavy rainfall), and if the slope is not protected, we often see pictures on houses on the "hill" breaking up or the slope causing a landslide - coming down to the lower home.Frankly, this is quite rare.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 1/30/2004 9:42:57 PM, Anonymous wrote:Hi Cecil,We live in the US, California. Our back of house has a yard.Behind the yard is an upwardslope (10 ft). exprezo
Hello sir, we just bought a home in the exact setting like what the member just posted. Backyard facing uphill slope then more houses on top of that uphill slope. The slope has a lot of greens grown and mAintained well by the association. Drainage done well too. Los angeles seldom rain. Please advise if this is bad fengshui and what can I do to correct the bad fengshui? Should i add tall trees? My backyard is narrow not huge. Appreciate your time!
