myfs_102699
Greeting Master, I am indeed need of help by knowinghow toplace my hubby's 5 fish tanks in our small 4 room flat. I am totally new in FS but am a believer. Hubby intended to make it a 3 tier built-in against the wall on the left hand side(looking out from inside the house) of the house near the entrance. By rising the tanks almost closed up the ceiling and have them place on the left wall is that alright?? Your great advise are appreciated. Thank you. Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 20, 2004 Staff Share Posted April 20, 2004 Dear Mrs Koh,In my opinion, there are two ways of looking at this:1. Are we keeping fishes (for personal enjoyment - hobby)? or2. Are we keeping fishes on the basis that we have read that they can bring us wealth?I am not sure why, but often, there is much success if one keeps it as mentioned under Para 1. Perhaps, there are side beneifits like feeling happy or feel cozy or comfortable having the responsiblity of rearing and enjoying the view of these fishes. In my opinion, many people who keep fishes just for the sake of keeping them, will either - get tired, some even feel that it is a dread of maintaining them. These are persons, who one day give up rearing fishes after finding "no tangible" results e.g. getting wealth in return of rearing such fishes.I feel that perhaps, sometimes, the intangible results of rearing fishes outweigh such "expected" rewards. Here, the intangible results of feeling happy or feeling proud of having taking much effort to rear the fishes, keep them healthy, clean, well maintained and looking nice. Here, often such owners, as mentioned, have a certain satisfaction and feel comfortable just looking at their fishes. This is why, sometimes, given this "man-human" luck factors, many of us, place the fish tank at a strategic location e.g. in the living room.In your case, you could do the same. However, if one applys Flying Star Feng Shui, then, check to see if the fish tank could be placed at a location with a Water Star (WS) WS#8 current water wealth location or at locations with e.g. double #7's. or locations that e.g. have #6 (strong metal).Frankly, if one is a new hobbist, it may take much effort to maintain a three tier fish tank. Often, most people go for a maximium of two tiers (would be considered) quite a large "investment".For the "non-hobbists" who see fish tank as a means of obtaining wealth, would therefore, not last long. Here, we often see young children, asking their parents to purchase pet rabbits, tortises or even dogs. But who often ends up as the "servant" of these pets. In the past two decades, it would be guaranteed the mum. But nowadays, if one is the house-husband, he should have to bear it all.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/20/2004 3:24:22 AM, Anonymous wrote: Greeting Master,I am indeed need of help byknowinghow toplacemy hubby's 5 fish tanks in oursmall 4 room flat. Staff Cecil Lee Posted April 20, 2004 Staff Share Posted April 20, 2004 Further to what I mentioned, Oops! I forgot: I strongly believe many house-husbands will not be so forgiving as all the great mums around! Most like, he could "accidentally, let loose these dogs, rabbits and other pets. And if the house-dad's do get too angry, these dogs may end up being shipped to Beijing, China to be served as dog meat, rabbit meat etc...!Frankly, in my opinion, if one is starting to rear fish, then, it is best not to go for three tanks at one go. Try out one and go from there,Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 4/20/2004 10:05:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Here, we often see youngchildren, asking their parentsto purchase pet rabbits, tortises or even dogs. Staff Cecil Lee Posted August 14, 2018 Staff Share Posted August 14, 2018 Question: Can I shift my fish tank, here? By moving my dining table away? Inauspicious because in close proximity of.. make a guess....... to the stove. A no-no!
