Stove (South location) opposite placed washing machine. Its work as our temper cool. The question is whether is it supertitious or feng shui belief.Read one of the book or could it be in your forum (can't remember) that onechange their seat each day having their meal at the dining, 'guess' will visit you. To my belief, its happened. Guesswill just pop by visit us. Guess should not stay too long and should not sit at the dining area. But if the kitchen is in the south (general fire direction), it is advantages to have a water position facing the stove so as to "cool" it down.
