I tried posting this before but it didn't seem to work, I hope I'm not repeating myself.
We are moving into a house with two main entrances, in the south and in the east. We would like to use the south entrance because it has a wonderful fortune for us. Unfortunately this entrance leads from the basement up into the center of our house, opens up to a cramped hallway with the bathroom door almost directly in front of it, the study door to the left on the west wall and the den door left on the same wall as the entrance (south wall), the hallway open up and the energy flows to the east into kitchen. Is there any way to equalize the energy flow to the west portion of the house and alleviate the depression of this hallway? Also, I read somewhere that the south was bad luck this year as well as 5 earth, ironically this seems to correlate directly to this door situation as it leads from the south to the center of the house so perhaps we shouldn't use this entrance at all in spite of the good door fortune. If we use the east entrance we still have the situation of the cramped hallway. The energy flows in from the east and by passes this hallway altogether heading up the stairs in the south west corner of the kitchen. This seems to cut of the three rooms on the western half of the house completely. If it is of relevance my husband and I are both 4 wood stars. I know this is rather complex, any insight would be greatly valued.
Thanks in advance, Jen

Dear Jennifer,
Thanks for your description. Presently, what you are using is based on "intuitive" Feng Shui.
Although it is one way of looking at Feng Shui, at the current moment, without much details about yourself, it is very difficult for me to provide advise on this information. This is because, in traditional FS, analysis must be done with the proper tools of analysis such as the Flying Star and Pillars of Destiny.
You can still map out your house using a more general Eight House Theory.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
