Staff Cecil Lee Posted October 5, 1999 Staff Share Posted October 5, 1999 Hi Everyone,Besides Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, the two lion statues each tied with red cloth is found on a Bank of India Branch in Singapore's country's Central Business District. It is not necessary to place the lion statues at a specific facing direction e.g. the West direction. But rather, it is commonly found on both sides of the main entrance to `guard' the premises. In the picture the two lion statues are tilted at an angle against the flow of traffic (of the one way street). One interesting comment is that `Feng Shui' is well spread all over the world and since China is very close to India, influences such as Buddhism came from India. We can today say that Feng Shui has gone Global to all parts of the world and even some of it `returned' back to India.
