Dear Users, For sometime, the Pillars of Destiny v10.01 beta was available for all Pillars of Destiny Premium users. However, it was had never been officially released to replace the v9.00 as it was not quite ready for a complete replacement. We had been busy enhancing the report in the past week, and the module is now ready to fully replace the v9.00. There were many additional more changes made to the v10.01 (both internally as well as visually), so we had decided to release it officially as v11.00 instead of v10.x. Key difference (v11.00 vs v9.00) ================================ - v11.00 is more modular, meaning that different parts of the analysis can be extracted as a separate analysis. Also, this makes the report less restrictive for expanding the report. And allow us to work on certain analysis focusing say on Career, or Health issues etc. - v11.00 integrates not just Ba Zi but also useful analysis from Eight House report. It also allows cross analysis between ba zi information, Eight House information as well as Chinese Horoscope. - Just as the Auspicious Dates revamp, we also revamp the v11.00 report so that it takes advantage of the CSS/Style formatting. For example, certain Explanation sections are box in a cyan colour box, which visually differentiate the normal analysis portion from the explanation. Making it easy to find the analysis results or explanation. - The new report is more visually enhanced so that you will be able to quickly find the section you are looking for as well as to be able to tell very quickly if an analysis is good for you or not. ie. Summary Analysis (using the Score system) was enhanced so that we have a summarised version. In addition, if the period is inauspicious for example, the box highlighting that period will be ie gray for average, blue for auspicious, red for inauspicious). Making it easier to see if the period is good or bad for you. - More explanation modules are expected to integrate very closely with the report so that you will better understand the report. ............................................................ Currently, the many new template revision for the v11.00 has been released to replace the v10.01 beta reports section. There are still several new reports which we had disabled them so that we can work privately on it before it is released. Included in the package is 1 Yearly Report which allows you to generate a yearly auspicious to show you which months are better and which dates in the month are auspicious or inauspicious. The Monthly Report does more in-depth analysis into a particular month. You are given 12 credits to allow you to find generate 12 different months for a single person, or 12 different months for 12 persons. How you use the credit is up to you. It will not change under any combination. ie. if the Heavenly Stem is Wood, but a combination between Day and Month changes both element of the Day and Month to Fire, your birth element is still Wood. Will Computerised Ba Zi produce less accurate result than Manual Ba Zi analysis? That depends on several factors:- 1. Who programmed Geomancy.Net's online Ba Zi? Ba Zi analysis is extremely complex simply because many forms of analysis can be deduced from the same analysis. ie. you can determine your ba zi element, your luck period, your career, your health etc. So in order to produce a very good Ba Zi analysis, the person who program it must understand it very well. The programmer must understand that there are many variations of Ba Zi, which are traditional analysis, which are new modified styles and the various calendar system that are used. In Geomancy.net case, the online Ba Zi analysis is written personally by Robert Lee to replicate a manual analysis done by Cecil Lee or myself. So the formatting of the Ba Zi report is exactly as how we would manually chart them out. But rather than take the time to manually chart it out, we let the computing power do all the work. This way we can focused on the end result which is the portion of analysing the various results. Imagine if we were to do a manual analysis of a single ba zi, you have to chart out all the various Pillars (hour, day, month year) and two advanced pillars (house of life and house of conception). Next you have to work out all the various related information such as what each heavenly stem and earthly branches represent, what are the hidden ten dieties, what combination of elements clashes, which combines, which join but do not combine. How the seasons affect the element etc. Frankly, if you were to do manually, you will probably analyse only the various basic and important analysis. Often, you will skip doing every possible computation. This is where a Computerised Ba Zi excel. So long as you program all the various rules and combinations, you can ask the computer to loop each and every possible combination. This way you will NOT miss any single computation which you will normally skip if done manually. Thus, a computerised Ba Zi helps in providing all necessary information so that when Cecil or myself look at it, we can immediately deduce the problems, or tell you what's wrong with that portion of the chart. This reduces the manual computation time which Cecil and myself can use to focus on analysing more people and yet give you very DETAILED and COMPREHENSIVE ANALYSIS, which a manual analysis often cannot. 2. How detailed is a computerised Ba Zi by Geomancy.Net? Frankly, it can be as detailed as the programmer who wrote it wants it to be. Take Geomancy.net ba zi for example, it is not in it's version 1 or 2 but at this very point version 9/10. This means, that it does not just analyse the basic chart, but even analysis and REPLICATE the analysis explanation exactly how we would write it out in a manual analysis. Frankly, many of our Ba Zi analysis results are SPECIALLY written in such a way that Cecil and myself would prepare manually. Thus, our analysis not only analyses the basic information for us to use, but already worked out many of the major portion of our manual analysis. This not only allows our ba zi to produce accurate but very detailed reports. This, further makes it easier for us to focus on providing additional analysis which is not possible to be deduced by a computer, ie relating personalised events or questions to your existing chart. I am sure many of the users will find that they have in sometime or another read about such analysis. I often like to say these are falsely manipulated information. This is because, if you look at those various case studies, you will find that they identified that the reason for example is because of a clash found in the day and luck period and it is because of that that the accident took place. Let's use this example, and say two different person A and B. Both born in the same exact date and time of birth and in say US. If based on the above analysis, the two person will have the exact same clash found in the day and luck period. Say Person A is a famous super star, while the other Person B is an ordinary person. If the reason for the Person A's unfortunate accident is due to the clash in the day and luck period (as suggested by the master), why then did the Person B not suffer the same fate?? Won't you say that the two should have similar fate and troubles? Well, sadly, this is just a case to show you that often some of the indications of a clash in Ba Zi or facts are manipulated by such masters to prove that they are very accurate in there analysis. Often, if you use the same indications (which are ba zi analysis rules) as identified by them, for another person, you will not find that that same factor which they use will apply for other people. Instead, for another analysis done, he will say it is because of this and that. Often or not, when I do run such analysis of these person through Geomancy.net's ba zi, the reasons which our website will use for why the death occur is different. Often, the problem is not just because of the 10-year luck period clashing with the day pillar. In our analysis, it is often because of say 10-year luck period is inauspicious, followed by a Clash between the Year and Life Chart, and that the 5-yearly luck is also inauspicious, with say a combination which alters the favourable element. And even for that year itself, the luck is bad for that person, with a yearly luck clash with the Ba Zi Month Pillar. And that the month and day are also inauspicious. Often, it is because of these series of problems which occurs together, that an event that produces a very unfavourable time period for that person. In addition, that person must also be around with unfavourable influence such as a Strong Water person, who has 80% of water in his chart, and is currently in a Water 10-year, 5-year, yearly period. While being with friends of Strong Metal Strong Water personality, maybe even staying in a house which is Strong Metal. All these influence together, that often result in a death or unfortunate accident. This is how we analysis a chart. And because of this, even if a person of the same exact chart, will not have the exact same fate. This is why Geomancy.Net's ba zi report never falsely manipulate the information. It gives you exactly as it is charted, and thus allowing us to see more clearly the reasons for such an event. Thus, you can be assured that it also gives you a very unbiased look at your own chart based on what fate as given you. If you use Geomancy.Net way of analysis and ruleset, you can be certain, that if another case similiar to such a case, that person is likely to face the same problem. Thus, the rules which we use to find out about reasons for problem occuring is always consistent from one analysis to another. It is never changed or altered just to suit just that particular person or use only a certain way of identifying why this problem occur to that person. 4. Why is some manual or computerised Ba Zi analysis does not follow your past history? Simply because Ba Zi is only a Heavenly given luck. In Feng Shui point of view. Heavenly Luck is one of the 3 factors which influence your overall luck. A person's luck is affected by the Heaven Luck, Earth Luck and Human Luck. Where the Earth Luck is the most important factor. Often the Earth Luck influence will adversely affec your Heaven Luck. ie. A person who is supposed to enjoy very auspicious 10-year luck, but somehow he faces problem in this period then as seen in his ba zi. This is not because the Ba Zi is inaccurately calculated, but because that person's luck is for example affected as he stay in a House which is not favourable for him (ie a Strong Wood person, staying in an East House - Wood House), and based on the Shapes and Form of the house the house is a TRAPPED house or has a major feng shui leak such as Toilet in the Center of the house. Such influences make it an inauspicious period as compared to what he is suppsoed to have. Also, because Ba Zi is what you are supposed to be born with. It does not take into account factors such as your education, the location you, the people around you etc. The best example I would say is your education. Imagine this scenario:- A pair Twins born on the same date and time in the same place. One stay and get high education (PHD) in US. While another migrate to India and only attain Primary Education. Will they get the same luck? Will they earn the same amount of money? Of course not, and this is because of external influence, education influence which is NOT considered in your BA ZI. Thus, your luck in such cases will be different from your given luck. Thus, Ba Zi can only give you a guide. And is only so call "accurate" in terms of knowing how your chart unfolds. Many times, lots of users think that Ba Zi must produce an exactly similiar result as what you have encountered. Often this is a wrong conception. Ba Zi cannot predict your future, nor can it tell you exactly what you have previously encountered. It can and only tell you what you are supposed to have and how your luck is supposed to be. Ba Zi analysis when done properly can give you a fairly accurate account (assuming your earth luck is not adversely affected). Often what is important in a Ba Zi is how your luck is laid out for you, only when you know your luck and various indications can you work to use it to your advantage. Feng Shui is not a miracle cure all. It only helps you create an harmonious environment and how you should improve your luck. Once your luck is improved or if you feel comfortable at home, you will have better productivity to focus on your work. Ultimately, you have to work hard for it. Just like, if you have a romance star in your current period. However, if you do not socialise or meet or make the effort to court the girl you like, no marriage will occur. Some for work, if you do not work hard, you will not gain any success. So Ba Zi is just a one of the tool in Feng Shui to identify your Heaven Luck. If you can maximise what your Heaven Luck and suit it to your Earth luck, you will find it very rewarding.

1. In the Gua Calculation, what calendar system to use? Before you even start to calculate the Gua Number, you should have already converted your YEAR of birth to the Chinese Lunar Calendar. All concepts on this website all bases it's calculation in relation to the Chinese Calendar system (and is done automatically for you when you use our online calculators). In Feng Shui there are two calendar system the Chinese Lunar Calendar System and the Xia Calendar System (or more accurately the Seasonal Calendar). Where the Xia Calendar is always closely related and can be deduced from the Lunar Calendar. In fact all Feng Shui theories so far are related to the Lunar Calendar. Those theories which requires Seasonal influence will require Xia Calendar system. The Chinese has all along been using the Chinese Lunar and Xia Calendar System. Thus, all Chinese related Feng Shui must use the Chinese Calendar for any calculations. This goes the same even for the Chinese Astrology or Horoscope. You use the Chinese Calendar as your Date of Birth and not the Western date of birth. 2. Is Chinese Feng Shui concepts like I-Ching, Ba Zi, Flying Star, Eight House, Name analysis considered Numerology? Yes. Frankly, I must say the Chinese has long developed a simple yet effective Calculation. Take the Chinese Calculator (abacus) for example. It is so simple yet, powerful. If you know how to use the abacus for calculation, you can calcuate the most complex mathematics without even a modern calculator. And best of all you can do it all Mentally. I-Ching's concept of 2 (binary) which is now is used in present day Computer as in Binary provides the basic for Computer computation. Chinese Name Analysis is another direct example of the clever use of Numerology to express the Name in relation to the Five Element. Flying Star Analysis is another example of Numerology to relate to the Five Element. Eight House Gua Number is again another Numerology related concept so as to match the number to one of the Eight Trigrams which also relates to the Element of the Trigram. Ba Zi is the 2nd most complex Numerology compared to the I-Ching. But again it is related to the Number concept. Shapes and Form's Tortise concept where in that special arrangement whether you add the number horizontally, vertically etc, you will get a total of 15. So I must say that all Feng Shui concept in one way or another is based on Numerology. 3. So does it mean that if anyone can use Modern mathematics formula to calculate any one of the above theories, that Chinese Feng Shui Theory is thus considered a Western Numerology? Mathematics can be used by anyone to find a logical pattern or a formula to derive a common repeating pattern. Frankly, in the past, there wasn't such comprehensive Mathematic forumla. In fact, all the Feng Shui practitioner uses is the Bagua. The Bagua is arranged in such a unique way that, you do not need to do any calcuations, but rather by rotating the rings in the correct order and all the necessary information such as I-Ching, Flying Star, Eight House, Ba Zi, Heaven-Earth-Human luck and lots more are revealed by looking at the inter-relationship of the various rings on the bagua compass. So in the past, there wasn't any such so call formula that existed. So why are there now such calculation methods appearing? As mentioned, if you are good in Mathematics, you will be able to deduce a logical formula out of a series of repeating patterns. Thus, coming out with the Formula. Having such formulas help in performing quick mental calculations without referring to the Bagua. So does this means that because of such an alternative formula solution, that the Ba Zi, Flying Star, Xuan Kong are now considered "WESTERN NUMEROLOGY"? Sorry, the West is not the only one who has Numerology, the Chinese also have their own Chinese Numerology. And it is widely seen in all the various Feng Shui concepts available. I am sad to say, those who DO NOT understand how Feng Shui works and/or how each theories are related to each other, or how each calendar system is treated in Feng Shui. They will probably question it. 4. Eight Aspiration is based on the Bagua static layout of the Eight Trigram. This is thus a static model which does not personalise to a single person. Eight House / Eight Trigram is the very basic concept which expands upon the Bagua, that tries to personalise a person into the calculation. Given that there are Eight Directions and each direction is often related to a compass direction. It was thus derived to be called the Compass School. This theory uses numerology to try to fit a person based on his Year of Birth which will thus arrange the Eight Trigram in such a way that you can see 4 good and 4 bad direction. The Eight Trigam is a basic foundation for the Advanced Compass School called the Flying Star (Xuan Kong Feng Shui). As it further divides the each of the direction into 3 sub-sectors. Thus, the 8 directions later becomes 24 mountain directions. It also provides the basic foundation of how the initial Flying Star formation is layout. And thus a way for the Flying Star to fly in a unique formation. This Same Eight Trigam when arranged in different way produces different types of Bagua formation. So fundamentally, it is a very simplified form of this very easy to apply Eight House Theory. However, despite it's ease of use and very simplified model, it is still very useful in determining how suitable a direction is to a person. But it is less accurate then a later concept called the Ba Zi Feng Shui 24 directions. Weakness of this Theory This theory only bases on the Year of Birth so it's accurately is limited. But it is good enough to allow it to be used as a general 4 good and 4 bad directions. Thus, determining a portion of the suitability of the Earth Luck to a person.

Eight House (Ba Zhai Yun) and Flying Star (Xuan Kong Feng Shui) are two of the compass schools. The compass school is one of the two major component for evaluation a home. As it is the only theory capable of such a task. This theory expands upon the weakness of the Eight House by allowing each 24 different sectors to more accurate determine the influence of the house. This 24 mountain is derived from the Eight House direction. 3. Ba Zi Feng Shui There is also another school which is called the Ba Zi Feng shui. This uses your Ba Zi to accurately determine the date and time of birth, and then allowing you to relate your environment with the same 24 mountain as the Flying Star. Thus, it is often used together with the Flying Star, and thus called Ba Zi Feng Shui. Ba Zi Feng Shui allows a person to personalised his or her heavenly luck to the earth luck. Thus allowing you not only to see how the house luck is but also whether or not how suitable is the house to you. It also so happens that it is based on 24 direction thus you can more accurately use the combinations and clashes to determine which of the 24 different directions. 4. Each theory has its uses and weakness 4a. Eight House is for suitable direction (at least it is much better than using the static Eight Aspiration which is fixed for all person). However, despite it's simplicity, just 8 different variations, allows a person to tell whether a house generally suit them or not. Hi Low Low, Generally, people always wants if possible to select auspicious dates whether it be for moving into the home, opening the door, opening a business etc. So generally, auspicious dates can be used in any of the areas. So long as you think it is an important event and need a date to do so. The Auspicious Dates analysis report is meant to do that. It does a detailed comparison based on each person's ba zi. As no one single person has the same luck. Then next is to check on the Tong Shu Dates to ensure like for example no one likes to move in during say the Qing Ming month etc. In your question, moving in is usually defined as selecting a date which you officially move in (whether or not your furniture is shifted in or not). It is a date to mark that you have officially move it. Dear Anon, You need to have more Wood (green/brown) in your clothing on a personal level. And/or to create a triple combination flow ie:- Metal (white/gold) -> Water (blue/black/gray) -> Wood (green/brown) Once in a harmonious flow of combination, it does not matter if the decor is more blue, as the water will be converted to Wood, and the Wood is neutralised by Metal. Thus, the elements become in harmony with each other as opposed to having too much of a certain element. Thus, in Feng Shui, it is important to note that it is more important to have a balance of 20% of each element. However, that is sometimes too difficult to achieve that. Dear Low Low, The problem here is Ba Zi analysis can be done on a basic level or on a comprehensive level. In order to determine whether you are weak or strong many analysis has to be done. 1. Computing the number of elements broken down into the five element. 2. Assigning proper weightage to the element based on the Seasons of Birth. 3. Determining if there are any elements which combines and clashes to form certain elements. 4. Checking the House of Life and House of Conception influences on the five element distributions etc. 5. And a few more rulesets. Only when you work out all these, can you determine properly whether an element is weak or strong. Take this for example (not your chart but an example chart only) Element Strength Percentage % Rating Recommendation 9 Water Strong 87 % Reduce Element Have A LOT less of your Most Unfavourable Element 1 Wood Extremely Weak 2 % Increase Element Have A LOT more of your Favourable Wealth Element 2 Fire Weakest 9 % Acceptable (Increase Element) Have more of your Favourable Element 0 Earth Weak 0 % Increase Element Have A LOT more of your Unfavourable Element 0 Metal Strongest 0 % Increase Element Have A LOT more of your Unfavourable Wealth Element Until you have work out a chart similiar to this Overall Summary in the Paid Ba Zi report, you will not know why you are a weak or strong. Hi Anon, Yes, however, Gua is the proper Chinese (rather than Kua which is based on Cantonese Dialect, just like Qi = C'hi) So how can Gua 9 numbers be equal to represent 8 Trigrams? There is no way so that is why the Gua Number itself does not yet equal to the 8 Trigram. Especially not the Gua number 5. Thus, the number 5 is often converted to represent one of the other two Trigram depending on Male or Female. Since the Eight Trigram is used or part of the Compass School (ie quite related to the Flying Stars) except that the center sector is empty. Thus, We relate the Trigam exactly as how it would link to the Flying Star. Eight House and Flying Star are part of the Compass School, thus it is more appropriate to allow both theories to be associated to each other. Thus, when we number them we number them as it should related to the Flying Star where there are 9 grids and only 5 (Center) is missing. In fact, this is not much different as to the Gua Number, as it does the same by assigning Gua 5 to another Trigam number.
